Summary:

Midnight, and the storm raged on. It thrashed it's force about underneath the forever full moon, flashes of lightning filled the sky as the wind roared and forest crashed against eachother.
Sakamaru was restless.
"What's wrong?" Libraya whispered, she lay next to him.
He opened an eye and almost jumped as he heard a crash of thunder,
"Hate storms." Sakamaru replied.
Libraya laughed to herself and shifted herself closer to him. Sakamaru turned away and pouted,
"Don't take the piss." He muttered and then grinned.
Libraya put her head against his chest. Her eyes half closed then something dawned on her, "Why did you and and Leo sneak off and ran to the Far North?"
Sakamaru fidgeted a little as the whole castle seemed to groan under the weight of the gale outside. every so often the dark room would be illuminated for a fraction of a second just before the crash of thunder disturbed the moan of the wind.
"Leo was running away from Taphi." Sakamaru breathed, "Well apparently running from some sort of danger that Taphi could bring."
Libraya's eyebrows narrowed as she frowned, "He dragged you into it."
Sakamaru took in a deep breathe, "No. I dragged myself into it."
Libraya looked up at him, she was about to ask why but Sakamaru stole her words.
"It's my fault really. Taphi asked me to find Leo and so I found Leo for him. Well payed of course." He said.
"You could have told me."
"I-I know." He paused, "I'm sorry. I just didn't want you in any danger."
Libraya smiled, "No more secrets?"
Sakamaru embraced her, "No more secrets." He repeated.

It was late morning when Leo finally woke up. Ruby had gone. He lay there for a while until finally sitting up and pulled on some jeans and a shirt. He ran down stairs to the kitchen.
Seth sat there alone he peered up as Leo staggered in.
"Morning...sorry should I say afternoon." He half laughed. Black eyes peered up from the mop of black hair.
Leo glared at him.
"Late night?" Seth joked as he chewed on a peice of toast.
Leo's hair was a mess, stubble covered his chin and he had only done up a couple of buttons of his shirt, "Where's Ruby?" He breathed, before muffleing a yawn.
Seth screwed up his eyebrows, "Ruby?" He dropped the peice of toast, with one of the corners missing from it.
"No, Pope Gregory the Ninth...Who the hell do you think?"
Seth laughed a little, "Had fun lastnight did you?"
"Shut up, just tell me where she is."
"So your not denying anything, blimey, now I know where she went."
"I didn't say anything." Leo growled.
"Someone woke up on the wrong side of bed...or was it Ruby's side?" Seth laughed as he twirled his crucifix between his fingers.
Leo was about to walk out just before Aries walked in.
"Oh wow, your up." She greeted him, "Your brother is looking for you." She walked past him and sat opposite Seth, "Whats for lunch?"
"Leftovers of that soup Libraya made." Seth smiled, "Oh, I think Taphi will have to wait, seems that Leo is looking for Ruby."
Leo leaned back against the door.
"She's in the libraya." Aries muttered before taking a bite from Seth's toast. He snatched it back before Aries grabbed at it. They started to laugh as they fought over the peice of toast.
Niether of them noticed Leo leave.

"Reki?" Libraya breathed. Her, Reki and Wolfee were walking back to the castle. Wolfee holding a dead rabbit that they were going to have for dinner.
Reki looked at Libraya and nodded.
"Are you okay?" Libraya shivered a little in the cold. The trees began to break away as the castle was in sight. A lonely stone carcass surrounded by glittering white mountians. "Just, you seem a little, um, off."
Reki laughed a iittle, "Sure I am." She forced a grin.
Wolfee agreed, "Libraya's right."

Summary:

The party had been reunited and were presently in Seth's castle. Reki, Wolfee and Takashi had been informed onn what had happened. Leo had disappeared shortly after returning to the castle. The day was ending as the sun fell down the white sky and a storm that Leo had foretold the night before began to brew.
Taphi, Sakamaru, Aries and Seth sat by a a fireplace in the library. The Libraya was situated in one of the main corridors on the ground floor, just opposite the kitchen and dinning room.
"So, you know Leo?" Aries asked Taphi. He looked so much like Leo.
A green eye and a blue eye stared out at he and smiled, a gentle and friendly smile, "Yes, very well."
At that moment Wolfee peered in, as soon as he saw Taphi he frowned and glared at him. He swaggered to ward the fireplace and noticing that all the seats had been taken up, sat down on the rug just next to the fire and leaned his back so it was on the cold stone of the fireplace. He refused to take his gaze off Taphi, who returned the look with a smile.
"Go on then." Wolfee spat out, "Tell them who you are."
"My name is Taphi." He leaned back on his chair, "I'm Leo's half-brother."
Sakamaru peered up, now thankful that he didn't have to be the only one who carried the burden of the secrets.
"Where's Leo?" Aries asked.
"I'd leave him for a bit. Let's just say the last time I saw him properly- Well I can understand why he doesn't want to see me." Taphi's smile vanished but he forced it back and studied the walls, thick with books.
Wolfee bit his lip, "He hates you."
Taphi nodded.
"And with good reason." Wolfee's eyebrows narrowed.
Taphi nodded again, "I know."
"Then why do you come back? You know that he never wants to see you again."
"I just want to make peace, that's all." Taphi leaned forward and picked out a book from the shelf, flicked through the pages before presenting a pair of thick black glasses and turned to the first page.
There was silence.
Seth decided to break it with a different subject, "What was that thing?"
"It's called a Screamer; it's from the very depths of hell itself." Taphi said, he put the book down after deciding it wasn't an enjoyable read and stuffed it back on the bookshelf.
"It seemed to only go for Ruby and Leo." Sakamaru pulled a hand through his jet black hair. Deep green eyes stared down at the floor.
Taphi didn't reply, he studied the bookshelf again before saying, "So, your Sakamau, A-aries is it? Aaand Seth?" He peered around as they confirmed their names. Taphi laughed to himself, "You must forgive me, I'm not great with names. You don't mind if I smoke do you?"
The others shook their heads so Taphi pulled out a cigarette, lit it and began to smoke. Wolfee frowned again and stormed out of the room. Aries stood up to go after him but sat straight back down soon after.
Sakamaru looked up, "He was running from you. Wasn't he?"
Taphi shook his head, "No, he was running from a danger that I might bring with me." He paused and peered up wards, "Well, I guess you could say he was kind of running from me."
Aries' eyes were wide open now, "So that's why you and Leo were going to the Far North?" She directed this at Sakamaru.
He agreed with her.
"I don't understand why though." Seth breathed, "I mean your not exactly going to hurt him, are you?"
"Of course not." Taphi drew a breath from the cigarette.
Sakamaru brushed his hair back with his hand, "Judging by what Wolfee said, you’re not going to be able to talk to him."
"Leo will want to hear what I have to tell him." He slowly exhaled the tobacco, "And I'd like to talk to Ruby as well. Something isn't right about her."

Takashi leaned forward before touching Reki's lips gently with his.
"Alone." He grinned, letting his white hair fall forward. "Finally."
Reki and Takashi were in the kitchen, Reki sitting on the table while Takashi stood facing her. This way Reki was almost the same height as him,
"Yes, my Prince." She giggled, the fact that a) Takashi was a prince and b) she was with him, still hadn't sunk in.
At that moment Wolfee burst in. He was muttering to himself too fast that neither Reki or Takashi could decipher his breaths.
Takashi moved away from next to Reki.
"What's the matter, Wolfee?" He quicjly peered at the werewolf before letting his eyes rest on Reki again.
"That - that Taphi." He spat out.
Reki looked at him questioningly.
"Leo's gonna be all depressed." Wolfee went on, "Taphi always carries trouble with him."
At that, Reki laughed a little, "Isn't Leo always kinda morbid?"
"Well Taphi's the reason he's always "morbid"." Wolfee slammed a cupboard door shut as he pulled out a tumbler. The cupboard door maee a pathetic sound as it slowed down just before impact yet it was clear that Wolfee wasn't exactly happy.
"But Taphi seems so nice." Takashi still didn't take his eyes of Reki.
Wolfee slammed a fist on the table, "Well he SEEMS nice but I know that...well-"
"That he is nice?" Takahi laughed.
"No!" Wolfee paused, fustrated and stupid, "Well he caused Leo to be upset, and Leo has been my best mate since we were thirteen!"
"Sooo, you don't actuelly know what he's done wrong?" Reki didn't take her gaze off Takashi.
Wolfee hung his head in shame, "Um, no."

Aries peered round the corner; she hadn't spotted this hidden corridor before. It refused to let any natural light in so it was in complete darkness. She had been exploring the castle and this seemed to be the last section to peer through. She created a flame from her fingers that danced just above them. The corridor wasn't long yet it seemed as though the darkness was engulfing it. The walls looked as though they had once had soon form of patterned wall paper, it was now stained with age and ripped so the original wall clawed through. She stepped forward until she could see the object in the furthest corner. It was a door, the only door in this dark passage, the only object in this dark passage.
She walked toward it. Her flame went out and the air became a knife's edge as she shuddered. The feeling passed so she created a new faame before trying the door knob, which like the walls, were disty and scratched, so the once gold knob was a grey/white colour. It was freezing cold to the touch. Her hand slipped as she turned it. She tried again and it refused to open. Locked.
Aries frowned. How disappointing.
She rushed out of the corridor, to find herself in another, larger and lighter corridrr. This welcomed her with warmth and moonlight. Although the storm howled and caused the whole castle to shiver.
She spotted a figure close the door leading to the main hallway.
"Evening." She smiled as she saw that it was Taphi.
He almost jumped with surprise, "Oh, hullo." He said, after regaining his pride. He then smiled warmly, "Aries is it?"
She nodded.
"Have you spoken to Leo yet?" She felt some sort of energy coming from Tapii, she couldn't quite put her finger on what it was.
"No. I'll talk to him tomorrow maybe." He began to lose his warm smile and peered at Aries strangely.
She stepped backwards, had she offended him?
"Oh I'm sorry." He said sheepishly, "Just you have a strange sort of energy."
"Huh?"
"Are you-" He began, "No, don't worry. I'm just being stupid."
At that Libraya entered followed by a winged dog, "Seen Sakamaru anywhere?"
Both Aries and Taphi shook their heads.
"Okay, no worries." Libraya grinned before skipping over to the door that led to the main hallway.
Aries looked back at Taphi, "No, go on."
He really did look like Leo Aries thought. Older, different eyes, stubble and darker hair, not to mention the friendly personality. Yet there was something about his green eye, it wasn't as otherworldly as Leo's yet something about both of them was truely dark and sinister.
"Are you a tarot master?" He asked.
"Yes."
"Really? So am I." He grinned. "So that must be why you seem to have so much energy surrounding you, well this is a once in a life-time - no - once in an eternity oppertunity. Meeting another Tarot Master."
Taphi held out a hand so Aries shoke it.
She smiled,
"Indeed."

Leo lay on his bed. Listening to the storm that cried like a tame dog gone wild and feral. His green eyes stared up at the ceiling. He didn't move except for the rhythm of his heat and the steady rise and fall of his stomach as he breathed gently.
Someone knocked on the door gently.
He didn't move.
"Leo?" Ruby's voice called.
He didn't move.
"I know your in there." She tried again.
He let his eyelids fall shut. How dare they disturb him.
Ruby waited a few more seconds, "I'm coming in." She pushed the door open.
Leo stayed motionless.
Ruby let the door close gently as she sat next to him on the bed. There was silence for a couple of minutes (except for the constant howl and crash of the storm).
"I know what's going on." Her voice was gentle, like the trickling stream. Yet maybe this stream had been contaminated with fire-water.
She waited another moment before carrying on, "I know who you are."
Leo opened his eyes and looked up at her, "Do I know who you are then?" He breathed.
"Maybe." she smiled, her deep blue eyes locked with his. She leant over before kissing his cheek with lips like ruby jewels yet soft.
Leo frowned and pulled himself upright.
Ruby peered at the floor, "I'm offended."
Leo replied this with a bitter laugh, "You know who I am and yet you kiss me."
"Only on the cheek." She corrected him.
Leo laughed again, mocking her. His laugh was quiet and velvet like.
"Maybe it's because I know who you are." She leaned and kissed him again on the cheek. A mark was left behind.
"In that case your a fool." He pulled away.
"Maybe I am." She agreed and tried again, this time almost touching his mouth.
They sat facing each other as the storm thrashed and cried like a nightmare from hell itself.

Summary:

The morning began cold, the sun rising to gaze upon fallen leaves of the oaks while the evergreen swamped the shadows of the mountian. Libraya had woken up earlier than the others and therefore decided to take a ander around. Pulling on a long coat, she stuck a dozen arrows in her sack and took a look outside.
The morning air was a knife to the throat, the sun reflected off the snow almost blinding her before the golden sun merged with the decaying leaves. Half asleep she took a few steps forward taking in the air as it began to become familiar. She followed the path down the mountian while sheilding her eyes from the faithless sun.
A shreik woke her. Not one of a fox nor was it human or mortal.

A few hours into the morning Aries sat in the kitchen, a spoon rolled intertwinned between her fingers while she sipped the tea. Ears seemed to prick up under the mass of hair. She guessed who it was by the sound of the elegant yet sleepy footsteps.
"Morning." She breathed.
Leo nodded as he sat down opposite Aries.
She lifted her head to peer at him, his eyes seemed to be focused on nothing.
"Uh..." She tried to catch his attention, "Nothing happened lastnight, I mean Seth was a complete gentleman and slept on the floor."
Leo almost coughed a laugh and peered up at her, "Why would I need to know that?" He smiled a mocking smile.
"Jus- Well -uh." She paused to collect  her words, "Its obvious you don't like or trust him so just to...y'know..."
Leo laughed again, he didn't have to insult her, the laugh was enough. She returned this with a glare and then turned pathetically, it was impossible to argue with him. She could try but she could never outwit him. A stab of anger grew in her eyes, like a trapped animal would stare at its captor.
Before Aries could reply the door opened, both Sakamaru and Seth entered, laughing.
Sakamaru greeted them before asking, "Did anyone hear that noise lastnight?"
Aries peered at him, puzzled, "What noise?"
"Sort of a fox shreik yet it didn't quite sound like a fox." Sakamaru pulled out a tumbler from a cupboard, "Um, has anyone seen LIbraya?"
"No." Aries replied, "She's probably gone for a walk."
"Oh, okay."
Leo peered up, "There aren't any foxes in this forest." It was a statement yet Seth replied,
"No."
"Get your coats." Leo breathed as he got up and went to the door.
The others questioned his actions. Leo didn't reply.

A figure dragged itself among the forest trees. It looked malnuturished, it's eyes sunk back into the skull, while the grey skin wrapped itself tightly around its skeleton. It was cloaked, yet the hood was down. THe figure carried a staff, two heads hung from it. One was the rotting head of an old man while the other was the head of a perfectly formed woman. The figure stumbled, weak, yet its eyes told a different story.
The old man's head stirred, its mouth opened and closed as it cackled. The figure's skull-like head turned sharply. A grin animated on it's dry and cracked lips. The woman's head screamed, it's piercing cries caused the singing birds to flee.

"Where are you going?" Reki grabbed for Taphi's arm.
"That scream-" Taphi turned to the now awake Ruby.
"Just a fox." Takashi reassured them.
Taphi ignored him, "Ruby?" He leaned closer, "You heard that? You know what that scream is?" His emerald eye and sapphire eye widened.
She nodded.
"Right, I'm off," He went toward the opened door, "Don't follow me, I'll be back to take care of Ruby."
"I'm coming!" Reki insisted.
"No, I'm sorry but it's dangerous."
"But you saved Ruby's life."
"I'm coming too." Ruby got up.
Wolfee gently pushed her back down, "You're still too weak."
"Taphiaus, I have to go, you know that." Ruby's eyes narrowed.
Taphi replied with a deep sigh, "No, your staying here."

They all called (except from Leo) out for Libraya. Every so often they heard an unhuman shreik. It seemed to gradually get closer.
It wasn't untill midday until they found Libraya. She was fine yet she was complaining about the high pitched shreik that peirced the forett every so often.
"You should get out of here." Leo said, "It's getting closer and I know what it wants."
Seth peered at him, "What IS it?"
"Just a demon."
"It's coming closer." Libraya murmured.
There was silence.
An old man laughed from behind the bushes.
Leo swung round and set the surrounding bushes alite with dark flames.
It happened all too fast. A shout that sounded just like Leo comanded them to duck as a tree crashed down and swung just over the group's heads before dragging it's self to where Leo had burnt down the shrubery. The tree then burst into   thousand fragments and a figure dragged itself forward, it held a staff where two heads hung from it.
Taphi lunged toward the figure and pinned it down in the snow.
Leo staggered forward and glared at Taphi.
"I'd appreciate the help, Leo!" Taphi said, before being flung backwards by the demon.
The next few minutes were full with Libraya firing various arrows at the creature, Aries casting various splells, which made the creature wince and the old man's head laugh, Sakamaru made sure that the demon didn't attack Libraya and Seth helped to defend the others. Leo didn't move, even though the demon clearly was going for him. Taphi fortunately gaurded Leo well enough while tackleing the creature.
Ruby soon swanned in. The old man's head laughed, this was a different laugh though. It sent shills up Libraya's spin. The demon flung itself at her. A grinning skull under it's hood opened and seemed to be biting at her. The woman then screamed and then darkness.
All but Leo and Seth fell unconscious. Seth lunged himself at the demon who was proceeding to attack Ruby. Leo did nothing but stare at a firn in the distance.
The woman's head proceeded to scream as Seth started to lose consciousness.
Leo closed his eyes and the woman fell silent in mid scream. He then lifted his arm so it pointed toward the demon, his hand outstretched, it then formed a clawed clasp as he slowly made it form a fist. The old man's head started to laugh, then it turned from a bitter laugh to a hysterical laugh. as the demon began to shake and gurgle. Then nothing.

Summary:

Aries stared at the ceiling. She was alone in the north-west tower after refusing to stay the whole night with Leo or the vampire. A fox shrieked, Aries' fingers wrapped around the stake that rested beside her. The vampire told her to take one to bed with her, to ease her mind. Was he trying to gain their trust? Or just playing with them?
The wind cried out as the windows started to rattle. She lifted her head and peered around before letting it rest and slowly close her eyes. Maybe she should forced Libraya and Sakamaru to let her sleep in their bed. Maybe she should have followed Leo. Where had he gone? What was he? Why did she even care for him?
Leo refused to sleep. He was sat at a desk, starring at the wall, his head resting on one hand, the other scratched at an old photograph, brown with age. He sat in darkness, his face illuminated by the moonlight that shattered through the stained glass window just right to the desk. His green eyes looked silver in the light. His face sombre and melancholy. Eyes starring, enlightneded with infinate wisdom, pondering the paradox of knowledge.
He didn't stir when footsteps approached his door, nor did he stir when the door handle turned and a figure entered.
"Leo isn't it?" The vampire looked around warrily, "Um, I'm not gonna hurt you." He laughed.
"I know." Leo's lips barely moved. His eyes peered at Seth.
"Why aren't you with your other friends? They seem to be scared of me so that's why I thought I should talk to you." Seth straightened up and stepped towards Leo.
"You didn't exactly help by your entrance back there did you?"
Seth laughed, "I'm lovely really, just felt like playing a little joke."
"Hmm." Leo frowned.
"What about that girl with long hair. Ummm, Liliya? No Libaya, um-- actually she seemed to like that other bloke." The vampire's figure was clearly lit up by the moonlight, "Actually that taller girl with blue eyes seems nice-"
"Do you fancy them?" Leo snapped.
"Huh?" Seth looked surprised, "I was..just trying to make conversation."
"Don't make small talk with me, I don't trust you, I don't trust anyone and believe me; I can kill you with a click of my fingers, I can send your soul an eternal crucible in the pit of hell's cesspit if needs be. Don't bother me."
Aries slipped out of bed, this was useless, it was impossible to fall asleep. A walk might help her calm down but what if she bumped into that vampire? Maybe he really didn't want to hurt them.
Her fingers wrapped around the wooden stake that neatly fit into the palm of her right hand. Eyes sharply looked around, the curtians rose as the wing gently lifted them creating an illusion of a white lace dress. Aries' coat lay on a stand peering at her like a dark figure.
She jumped to her feet and went to the door, the rug ended and a sharp stone cold feeling stabbed at her bare feet. She was wearing barely anything except a top that fitted her perfectly and shorts that were at least four sizes too big for her that dropped just below her knees which were held up by a thin belt.
Her hand pulled at the door handle which refused to open at first, she tried again and twisted it, she peered into the darkness of the small staircase that twisted down. The cold air choked her breath as she stared down into an abyss of never ending darkness. Her foot felt around the stone floor for a safe footing before revealing a small flam from her free hand, it barely lit the staircase but at least she could see if anything was there.
It took her what seemed and hour to reach the door at the foot of the twisting staircase, but in reality was little more than ten miniutes. A clutch of relief drew from her lips as she pushed the door to be welcomed by a large corridor leading to the main staircase. Her hand crushed the flame beneath it as there was no need for the flame now, moonlight had taken hold of the corrider letting it take on a silver/blue glow.
The shooting pain in her feet stopped as soon as she stepped onto the carpet that led to a series of more corridors and before long she was hurrying along to the main staircase. It wasn't long before she reached it and wandered to the other side. She could see all the marble flooring of the ground floor below her as she gazed from the banister that led along that part of the corridor and took her directly to where Leo was resting. The smallest of the bedrooms that directly over-looked the main hall.
Her fingers felt the door handle and before she twisted it, the door opened, a figure almost fell over her but saved himself.
Aries peered up at the figure, Seth-the vampire. Her right hand stiffened and she quickly took a few steps backward until the banister stopped her from going any further.
Seth quickly apologized, "Ah, oh I'm sorry. Are you alright?" His thin lips curled into an open smile he offered her a hand but force it back after reralising what was clasped in her hand. His black eyes stared the stake before glancing at her face and back to the weapon, he backed into the doorway.
Aries loosened her grip and dropped the weapon, "I'm not going to hurt you." She croaked, "Honestly!"
"N-no, its alright, I mean I know." Seth relaxed a little.
He jumped as a familiar voice growled, "Will you shut up."
Leo pushed the door to shut before Aries pulled it open and protested, "Leo, I want to sleep with you!"
He stared at her, his expression refused to change, "I'd think about rephrasing that sentance if I were you."
Aries flung back away from him as her cheeks flarred up into a fierce blush, "I mean, in the same room. Well, its horrible and cold and scary up there!"
While this was happening, Seth began to chuckle to himself, and then took offence, "I gave you the nicest room, its the largest, balcony, an en suite and equiped with the best view." He briefly laughed to himself again letting his long and deathly pale face form into a handsome smile that somehow looked out of place on his face yet seemed so beautiful. His tall body seemed to swagger as one arm supported it while he lent against the wall facing Aries, his dark eyes never seemed to leave her face.
She peered at him quickly and gazed back to Leo who seemed to grow increasingly annoyed by her and Seth's presence. After a few more moments of Leo glarring into the distance he pulled away and banged he door shut.
"Great." Aries sighed, "Back to the tower I go."
Seth leaned toward her, "Its horrible going up that spiral staircase at night, especially for mortals who can't see well in the dark."
Aries drew her breath, "Explain." She had to force herself not to blush as her heart leaped.
"My room is in the north-east tower, just down the corridor over there. I wouldn't want you to hurt youself going up that small, cramped staircase would we? And its rather frightening for you mortals to be staying in a cold castle all by yourself isn't it?" The vampire stepped forward, he leaned forward so Aries could see the reflection of moonlight in his eyes, "What I'm saying is, it wouldn't hurt for you to stay one night in the same room as me."
Libraya stirred, her long hair slowed around her shoulders as she sat up. The scent of Sakamaru filled her nostrils, it was nice, his after shave muffled by his body. She gazzed around the room until her eyes rested upon his sleeping body. Why was she in the same bed as him? A grin took over her lips. The worry that she was sharring a castle with a vampire had disapeared, she was safe now, safe with Sakamaru. She pulled the blanket up to his neck, it was a cold night, like every night was in the North. The moonlight seemed to have taken a hold onto the room although a few shadows creeped up to the bed as they scratched at the covers and Libraya's feet.
Sakamaru seemed restless, his body tossed and turned briefly before eye opened and looked up at Libraya. He smiled a welcome and dug his face into the pillow.
A few moments passed and a sigh fled through the pillow, "I can't sleep now." A moan left Sakamaru's lips.
"Why?" Libraya questioned.
"Well I'll be very angry with you if I'm tired in the morning." He grinned.
Libraya returned his sentance with a puzzled look.
"I don't want to be angry with you so I'm sure a nice warm cuddle will send me to sleep." He winked and pulled Libraya down onto the bed wrapping his large arms around her. She fell into the comfort of moonilight as the world around her felt puzzleling and unreal. Like a fantasy.

Summary: Takashi, Reki, Ruby and Wolfee meet Leo's brother while the rest of the party seek sanctuary in a vampires home.

Reki, Takashi and Wolfee had arrived back, with Ruby's unconscious body, in a small village a few days South from where they had last seen Aries, Leo, Sakamaru and Libraya. Reki had spotted an Inn and insisted that they stay there and find help. The others had agreed while Wolfee transformed back into a human.
The Landlord told them to put Ruby on a table in the pub as that was the warmest place in the Inn.
"I'll order the pints." Wolfee sighed as he forced a smile.
Reki pulled out various herbs and potions while checking Ruby's forehead.
"Hyperthermia?" Takashi breathed. He peered around the almost empty pub, at least out of Multi no one recognised him.
"I think so." Reki studied the blue body.
"Would you like any help?" A voice asked.
"Oh, tha-" Reki turned around to thank the man but exclaimed in surprise. "Leo?!"
"Huh?" The man, who Reki claimed to be Leo looked surprised. His eyes seemed to sparkle in the candle light. One blue, one green. He was tall, a mop of light brown hair and a handsome face with stubble. He pulled out black rimmed glasses and studied Ruby. "Sorry to dissapoint you but my name is Taphiaus."
"Oh, you looked like..someone that I know."
The stranger chuckled and a handsome smile was drawn across his face. "You may call my Taphi." He held out a hand and Reki took it.
"I'm Reki and that is-"
"Oh your  the "infamous" Prince Takashi I presume." He laughed.
"Infamous?" Takashi looked puzzled.
"A joke, don't worry m'Lord it was just a joke, haha." His face looked so warm and welcoming that now Reki thought about it he didn't look anything like the sombre and melancholy Leo. Apart from the fact they were both so good looking. "Now then, what seems to be the problem here?"
"Umm, we think it may be hypothermia." Takashi shook the strangers hand, "Are you a doctor?"
"Oh, me? No, I'm just clever." He grinned.

Sakamaru pulled at the door which he had figured was the only entrance to the castle.
"Locked." He sighed.
"No worries," Libraya grinned as she pulled out a lockpick, "Reki gave me a couple of these."
"Thats not gonna do, a small pick like that and a door with various locks which a measly pick couldn't get thro-" Sakamaru started but before he finished the sentance Libraya had picked her way through the locks.
"Done." She grinned.
The castle was offered them barely any warmth, but they were still greatful for the little it did welcome them with. A flare passed from Aries' hand as she lit the many candles which hung from the walls of the corridor. It was hard to see the way as the little light the candles let out seemed to be consumed by the darkness that was imprisoned in the walls. The corridor was thin as it led them through to the main hall way, a stair case was situated in the middle, it was large and grand with white marble and many doors and corridors leading off to various rooms.
The four of them stood in the middle of the hall, searching around for nothing.
"Weird." Both Aries and Leo muttered.
"Theres no dust, an abandoned castle like this should be incased with dust but its," She led one long and milk white finger along one of the steps on the staircase, "Almost perfectly clean." She studied her finger in the flame that had sprung from her free hand.
"And the style of this place, marble was only just discovered a few decades ago." Leo breathed, his green eyes seemed like cats eyes as they lit up in the darkness.
"Evening." A foriegn voice aproached.
"Whose there?" Sakamaru demanded. His eyes squinted, he couldn't see the newcomer.
"I should be asking you the same question." The voice sounded young, cold yet somehow friendly. "Your the intruders here, so how dare you adress me like I'm in the wrong."
Libraya clung onto Sakamaru's arm as the figure came into the dim light, still he was only a silhouette appraching them. He looked tall.
"L-listen, we just came in for some warmth, theres a storm coming. I'm really sorry si-" Libraya started.
The figure began to laugh. "I figured you weren't here to steal but I was worried you were something else.." He came into full view. His eyes black, hair black, jeans and coat black. His face was pale white, as though it had never seen the light.  "Anyway, if you can proove to me you aren't a threat, I see no harm as to help a fellow..." He laughed, a glimpse of sharp white fangs hit the light, "Human."

"She should be fine in a few days, she just needs a bit of rest, thats all." Taphi smile a warm smile.
"Thank you so much Taphi-kun." Reki grinned.
Reki, Takashi, Wolfee and Taphi had carried Ruby upstairs to one of the rooms.
"I'd be grateful if you tell update me on her state." He turned around and began to head to the door.
Reki tugged on his arm, "Um, thankyou Taphi-kun but, uh, don't worry."
Wolfee glared at Taphi while Taphi returned it with a grin before leaving.
"Wolfee," Takashi said, "How come you've been so quiet."
"Doesn't he remind you of someone?" Wolfee growled. One hand was resting on Zack.
"How do you mean Wolfee?" Reki cuddled up to Takashi as she put her fingers through his hair.
"I jus-" He paused, "I don't like him much at all. I need some rest." He called Zack before exiting the room.
"Whats with Wolfee?" Reki muttered, "He seems so different from his usual self, I mean ever since Taphi-kun came."
Takashi nodded.
"And Taphi-kun looks so much like Leo except older and happier." Reki rested her head on Takashi's shoulder, "Ta-kun, what if Taphi-kun and Leo were related?"

The castle suddenly seemed a lot colder. Various shivers went up Libraya's spin as she took a few steps back from the vampire. Leo's features didn't change while Aries and Sakamaru stared at the stranger with surprise and fright.
The stranger took a few steps toward them. A few of th candles blew out. Silence.
"W-what do you want us to prove to you?" Sakamaru almost choked.
The vampire laughed, "That your not slayers of course."
"How do we prove that?" Sakamaru breathed, his breath ice cold.
"Drop your weapons."
"Why?" Libraya coughed.
The figure laughed again, "To see if you have any stakes." He took another step forward, "For your own sake, drop your weapons."
Aries did so, as well as Sakamaru and Libraya.
"You too, green eyes." The vampires voice was calm and slightly mocking. He waited for a few more minutes while Leo stared at him. "Are you deaf? Drop your weapons."
"I don't have anything on me." He pulled of his coat and scarf. Showing no weapons, he then pulled out a case from his coat and revealed a pair of reading glasses.
The vampire cleared his throat and peered around at the group, "Ok, so you don't have any weapons on you, I see no harm in you staying for the night."
Leo burst out laughing, a mocking laugh that sent chills up their spines, "How do we know to trust you?"
"I don't know, I guess either you trust me and stay or you don't and you can spend the night outside, in the storm." The vampire steadily walked towards them, smiled. His face now illuminated by the candle light. Paler than Aries', black eyes staring from under the mass of coal black hair, he grinned, letting the flicke of the light catch the glimmer of milk white fangs, "Your choice."

Summary: The party are lost in the far North.

(Before I start I need to explain something. I have dropped a few chapters in the middle so if you want to find out wht happens in them then read http://anoaki.livejournal.com/ number 033 onwards. ^^ )

The leaves were slowly browning to form the golden colours of early Autumn. Morning air so cold it felt like knives slashing at their throughts. The scenery slowly changed from forests full of Oaks to mountians to more forest but this time full of evergreen. The party were now at the very north of Halohel, where the Hellish lights chased the night sky and where the mountians scratched at the grey sky. Whole landscapes with no tree in sight, just snow covered hills. They past a few more small villages, slowly going North. It was forever winter here.
Takashi would regurly refuse to go any further, so did Libraya, but not as much. Wolfee was well suited to this land with a white winter coat, as he was always in his wolf form now. Zack was another which had a thick coat of fur, so never bothered whinning for warmth. Aries would constantly shiver under her now colourless skin. Reki would complain of the cold but never showed any signs of illness, unlike Ruby who was forever like ice, skin as cold and pale as Aries and eyes seemed distant and she would often weep under the sky which had trapped them in this land. Leo didn't speak, niether did Sakamaru. They had their dark secrets.
The days were long. The nights seemed longer as everyone lay under the bleeding sky, spoiling the perfect blanket of snow. Ruby wasn't shivering anymore, once scarlet lips had cracked and bled and were now blue. Her once rose like cheeks were stone cold, her soul seemed to have lost its way a long distance away, when they were amongst the evergreen trees...now se was just a souless body, trapped in the ice.
Only Leo and Sakamaru knew why they were heading North. Why? None of the others knew, none of them asked now, their frozen lips wouldn't let them.

"You've led us to our doom." Aries growled, she could only manage of whisper. The group had managed to find a small cave.
Leo's green eyes pierced her very soul. He didn't reply.
"Ruby's dieing." Aries barely managed the words. She chewed on them with bitter anger. "You fool."
"He has his reasons." Sakamaru lay beneath a damp sleeping bag, "And anyway, we both told you to stay back in central Hallohel." He leaned forward while one hand brushed across his jet black hair. He bit his lip as those words echoed through his head, Libraya shouldn't have seen him and Leo sneak out that night, if only he had been quieter...she wouldn't be stuck in this hell.
"You bloody fool Leo." Aries glared at him, "Its all your fault!"
"I wanted to go Noth as well, Aries." Sakamaru's dark eyes moved across to the motionless Ruby, "You can't put all the blame on Leo."
"What?" Aries almost spat, words almost impossible to say, "What are you two up to? Why won't you tell us? And I KNOW that this is Leo's fault."
Again, Leo didnt reply. Eyes starring in front of him, at a single point on the wall of ice. His eyes seemed like spears taking aim.
Reki and Takashi entered the cavern which eased both Sakamaru and Aries. They both breathed a greeting while prizing the mere scraps of seal from Reki's hands.
"You should go back South tomorrow." Leo's eyes wondered between the present company.
"We can't leave you Leo." Wolfee replied, his wolf form was large, and his white fur made him almost undetectable to tired and dazed eyes.
"I plan on going North." His emotion remained the same, it hadn't changed once through the whole course of the journey. "On my own."
"I'll come with you." Sakamaru breathed.
Leo glared at him, "I'd rather you didn't."
"I insist, its too dangeous for y-" Sakamaru started.
"For the spirits sake, why are you going to the North? Why did you and Leo sneak out when we were South?" Libraya pulled on Sakamaru's arm.
She didn't understand why he had let her fall asleep that night, she didn't understand why he and Leo had left without her and the rest of the party. Were they looking for something? Or even running away from something?
A few more days passed, Aries and Libraya had convinced Sakamaru to let them join him on their journey North while Sakamaru had convinced Leo to let them tag along. Reki, Takashi, Ruby, Wolfee and Zack were told to go South as Ruby was increasingly growing ill.
"Where are we going?" Libraya coughed.
"South." Leo breathed, his face was hidden under a mass of hair and a scarf.
"What?" Aries growled, "Didn't you want to go North?"
Leo nodded and walked on ahead, Aries had to run to catch up with him.
"Why are you taking us South?"
"If I take you North you will die." Leo's green eyes glared at Aries from beneath the mop of hair.
"And so will you!"
"Shut up. I'll survive but you won't especially not you. Your way too weak."
"Should I say thank you?"
"I'd prefer it if you didn't."
"Whats going on?" Libraya breathed.
"Turns out he's taking us South to ditch us. According to him I'm too weak." Aries grimaced.
The journey South was a lot easier compared to journeying North. Mountians soon once again covered the scenery while a few evergreen trees dotted the prison of white. After a couple more days they passed villages consisting of only a dozen houses and before nightfall they hit forests of pine.
Sakamaru sighed as he reminded them that they should have stopped off at the village while Aries would torment and tease Leo.
Libraya's head was resting on Sakamaru's shoulder while they were walking.
"Did you hear that?" Aries muttered.
"What?" Libraya opened one tired eye.
"The howl." Aries grinned.
"Yes, a howl, wolves howl. So what?" Muttered Libraya.
"Um, well...nothing." Aries' eyes were bright and seemed to be searching through the trees.
"Its full moon, thats not right." Leo muttered.
Sakamaru looked at him puzzled.
"Aries, when did Wolfee last turn?"
Aries glimpsed at the moon which had pierced its way through the trees, "About two weeks ago."
"As I thought." Leo peered around, "That means we have headed South-East."
"How do you know that?" Sakamaru questioned.
Leo ignored the question, "There should be an abandoned castle somewhere around here, it won't be hard to find. I guess its our only choice, theres a storm coming in the next few hours."
"How in the Spirits did you guess all that?" Sakamaru repeated.
"I didn't guess, I know it. Theres only one place in Hallohel or any Continent that always has a full moon, its because theres an illusion to make it seem as though its full, as a tribute to the Moon God. Also, the wind always comes in on the West and when we were in Rainbow City there were forecasts of storms coming in."
Libraya's head bolted right up, "I think I can see something."
"Where?" Sakamaru's heavy eyes searched the forest.
"Over there, kinda half way up that mountian." She pointed through the trees.
They pullled their way through the forest of pines that had trapped the moon. Walking at a steady pace was hard for tired legs but they started to walk faster before quickening into a run. The idea that the warmth that was inprisoned inside the stone walls of that castle seemed like heaven. Little did they know that that castle held countless secrets. And a being from the moon itself, with dark eyes and fangs that gleamed in the candle light.

Summary:

"I think he's waking up." Were the first words Takashi heard before the realisation of a pounding headache.
He opened one eye and peered around, everything was blurred, all he could make out was a few blurred shapes and figures, some whispering to eachother and another shape was kneeling towards him. It gave a him a brieth kiss on the cheek before withdrawing. Takashi grunted and opened the other eye, this didn't help his sight, the blurred shapes just stayed a mix of colour.
A large and warm hand rested on Takashi's forhead before some form of shining light came into almost full view. The same strange hand pulled Takashi's half open eye wide open while a blurred face seemed to study Takashi's eyes. Another grunt left his lips and with that the blurred figure pulled away.
"Ta-kun?" Takashi knew that voice, it belonged to the figure that had kissed him.
He replied with a moan.
"Ta-kun, its me."
"Reki?" His voice broke half way through saying it.
"You need to go back to sleep Ta-kun." The voice was full of warmth.
Another groan left Takashi's lips.
And like before, his eyes lowered. Then he saw blackness.

"So whats the verdict?" Reki watched as Takashi slept.
"Reki your more the doctor than me." Leo said, he leaned back against the wall and peered at the sleeping Ruby, "You should be the one looking at him, not me. I only know the basics."
"But your clever." Reki protested.
The right side of Leo's mouth edged into what seemed to be a smile. Aries blushed slightly as she turned round to meet his stare. She's never seen him properly smile but that certian crooked smile was so-
"Haahaa look at sexy Leo." Wolfee grinned, "I told you to never use that smile, it always makes the girls blush."
"Go away Wolfee." Leo glarred.
"But I know thats your sexy smile!" Wolfee gave him a hug.
"No it isn't. And, I don't think you being here is appropiate."
"Whaaa?"
"Wolfee, go away, I'm trying to talk to Reki." With those words, Leo pushed Wolfee out of the door and locked it, "That should give us some peace." He sighed, "Anyway, Reki, have a look for yourself."
"But I don't want to, I mean what if its bad?" She moaned a reply.
"It won't be. I think its just a slight concushion." He stood up straight from where he had been leaning back and made his way over to Ruby's sleeping body.
"O-ok." Reki studied the sleeping Takashi, she hoped he wasn't too badly hurt.
"Do you think she will ever wake up?" Aries sighed.
"How in hell should I know?" Leo's expression barely changed.
Aries pouted, "Your cleverer than me so, I dunno."
"People can stop calling me clever you know."
"But you ARE really intelligent."
"I know that." This time his smile didn't return, he was starring at Ruby. He put two fingers to her wrist to check the pulse and then turned back to Aries.
"Way to blow your own trumpet." She sighed, "Its like a bleedin' Hospital ward in here." She pointed at the unconscious Ruby and Takashi.
"Well niether of them are actuelly 'bleeding'." Libraya sniggered as she entered the room before bidding Leo, Aries and Reki 'good morning'. "I'm going to the other side of the City with Sakamaru. Says he's got a surprise for me." She grinned.
Reki shouted out a "have fun" while Aries chuckled and Leo checked over the unconscious Ruby Blood.

It seemed to Libraya that there was absolutely no green spaces in the whole City, after walking for a couple of hours and exploring what seemed the major tourist attractions, she finally found a tall dark figure. The figure moved towards her, a long green coat hanging from his shoulders and black hair falling around his face. One hand swept through the jet black hair while one dark eye peered from underneath it and a handsome smile greeted Libraya.
"So," Libraya ran up to him through the rushing crowds, "What do you have to show me?"
Even outside of the city the vast amount of crowds was inexcapeble.
"We will have to wait until night time for that. In the meanwhile, what do you say about a couple of cocktails?" A hand pulled a few strands of hair which fell on his face back.
"I say...yum yum?" Libraya grinned, looking forward to the surprise and even more about the fact that she would spend a whole night alone with Sakamaru.
"Haha the perfect answer," His deep eyes studied Libraya's face. His eyes then scanned the crowd, there they were, that group. They looked like any other person in the crowd, the acted like any other person but...he had been spotting them looking at him all week.
Libraya tugged on his arm, "Are you feeling alright?"
Sakamaru snapped back to reality, "Yeah, just fine, but," He paused, "Have you ever had the feeling your being watched?"

"Leo, you don't have to stay here all day." Reki handed him a cup of tea. "I can look after both of them."
"I know." Leo replied in a whisper. He was sitting on the floor with his back against the sofa that Ruby Blood lay on. His head was in a book while his green eyes were shielded by black rimmed reading glasses.
Reki sighed a little. She decided it wasn't a good idea to try to make conversation with him. The only two people who seemed to be able to comunicate with the strange green eyed man were Wolfee and Aries. Even then Leo would try to cut them off from his thoughts.
Such a pitty. Reki thought. If it wasn't for his reluctancy to show his feelings then Leo would be the perfect catch. Tall, handsome, mysterious, intelligent, strong, large hands and feet - Reki began to giggle.
Leo peered at here from under his reading glasses then returned to the thick book. He seemed to read a new one every day. He closed the book and began to rummage through a new one in a pile of various sized books. His hand wandered between the national newspaper that had arived that morning and a large thick book which looked centuries old, with yellow pages falling out of its blood red covers, a gold name was scratched onto them.
A soft gasp fell out of the sleeping Ruby's lips and she lifted her head and peered at Leo who had finally reached for the broadsheet.
"Leo!" Reki nudged him.
"I know." He muttered fixing the glasses back onto the ridge of his nose, "Nice to have you finally with us." Leo breathed, turning his head to watch as Ruby sat herself up.
"U-um." Ruby Blood's dark blue eyes widened as she studied the room.
Reki reached for Leo's arm and pulled him next to the sofa where Takashi was asleep. "What's going to happen with her?" She whispered.
"Well legally she's dead, and you can't convict a dead person. Legally I mean." Leo refused to whisper but his voice was low enough so Ruby couldn't listen.
"So we don't hand her into the police?"
"No."
"But their going to want her body, and it doesn't take an idiot to realise that she might be with us. I mean her body was last seen with us, not to meantion Jerry who saw her come back to life. Anyway, she's a murderer."
"She isn't" Leo rolled his eyes.
Reki gave him a blank stare.
"Not until proven guilty, and before you say anything, the evidence is there but they can't prosecute someone who is dead. And we don't need to worry about Jerry, I made sure he forgot everything that had happened, poor bloke was in shock."
"So your the one who stole my "forget-me-not powder"!" Reki glared at him. "Why do you want her with us?"
Leo decided it was a good idea to tell her half of the reason instead of the other half, "I want to find out how she is still alive." He peered at Ruby who was now checking the date on the broadsheet newspaper.
Reki's eyes widened slightly. Was Leo only interested in Ruby because of scientific pueposes?
"Don't give me that look." Leo breathed, "And to answer the question your thinking in your head, no she isn't just some sort of experiment for me."

Summary:

     "Wolfee!" Libraya groaned.
"Whaaat?" Wolfee gave a light grin, "You asked me where I wanted to go and this is where I want to go." He gave a small laugh, his grey eyes studying each girl in the bar. His lips flicked into a smile.
Libraya gave a large sigh, "So the best place you can think of, is a bar."
"With pretty ladies I should add." His boyish smile returned, "And some pretty men for you."
Libraya looked at him with her purple eyes, her face relaxed as she realised what he meant. She wasn't obvious, if Wolfee said this then maybe no one had guessed about Sakamaru...but that didn't matter. Not for now, they had been reunited after all these years. A smile appeared on her face and she turned to Wolfee's beaming face.
"Would you like a cocktail?"

Aries studied Ruby's face, her perfectly pale face looked so relaxed. She was asleep, her rib cage gentely rising up and down like any living soul should. She looked so calm, no one would've guessed that she had been dead up until half an hour before, and now Aries was looking after her.
Sakamaru and the small policemen had carried her up to the hotel room and placed her on the sofa. It was Aries' job to check on her and see if she woke up again and revealed anything to the detective, Leo. But just before Ruby hab been carried up, the intelligent detective had disapeared.
So boring. She glanced back at the sleeping figure. But still that stab of envy thought its way back to Aries, her beauty was unfamiliar. Gentle skin, a gentle figure, a gentle face, lips like her name suggested - blood red, hair sang like red ribbons gently flapping in the breeze, her eyes like two moons - surreal and beautiful but dark...maybe hidding something. Ruby was a little taller than Aries and she looked a little older but Ruby Blood didn't look human. She was like some form of spirit...maybe thats why she refused to die? Or maybe not.

"Strange." Sakamaru breathed, the night was young and the view from the hotel roof was breath-taking. The Casino hotel seemed to be one of the tallest buildings of the city meaning that every light of the never resting City was in Sakamaru's view, like lanterns lighting up the way.
"Vulgar." Leo's eyes narrowed.
"What do you mean?" Sakamaru almost half laughed.
"All those lightsa are trying to attract your attention but with so many none of them really stand out and it just becomes one big blur."
Sakamaru's eyes wandered from the amazing view to Leo's eyes. Compared to the lights of the City, the green eyes seemed to pierce they're way through the mind, making sure that they stood out. Sakamaru gave a crooked smile, "Something tells me you didn't bring me up here to explain to me about the never sleeping City."
"Well done for pointing out the blatently obvious." The sarcasm stabbed through his words, "But firstly, I can guess your answer, but what did you mean by the word "strange" a minute ago?"
Pulling one hand through his jet black hair Sakamaru took a step toward Leo. He didn't like being near the green eyed fiend as Tani had called Leo, but the wind had picked up slightly. "It's strange that you want to talk to me." He paused, "You seem to ignore me."
"Just as I guessed." Leo muttered, his eyes looking up at the sky, the stars were almost impossible to see thanks to the light pollution from below. "But I believe I have good enough reason to."
"What?"
"Can I ask you a question?" His eyes fell to the half moon which lay just behind Sakamaru. "Please be truthful in your answer, I'll be able to tell easily if your lieing."
"Whats the question?"  Sakamaru had a feeling he knew what it would be.
Leo's eyes finally rested on Sakamaru's face, they refused to look at his eyes, "Why did you lead my brother to me?"
"I had a feeling you'd ask that." Sakamaru's eyes narrowed a little, "He's your brother?"
"Half brother, just answer the question."
"Well you do look alike." Atleast they're eyes looked alike, both would pierce through the darkness, "He payed me to find your location, I never asked why though."
"What did he give you?"
"Bags of money, and he nursed Pixie who was pretty unwell." Sakamaru said, "But why are you ignoring me just because of that?"
"I prefer not to be in touch with my family."

"Reki, are you sure you should be gambleing when your've got a headache?" Takashi sighed, both him and Reki were making they're way down to the casino area.
"I'm only going to for a little bit." She gave a huge grin and pulled the white haired man through the crowds until they found the slot machines. "And anyway my headache has almost gone."
"Well alright." He smiled, "I worry too much about you."
"Haha, I should be more worried about you!" Reki laughed.
Takashi gave her a blank look.
"Theres been some men following you all through the casino."
"What?" Takashi's eyes widened.
"Don't turn around." Reki lowered her voice a little, "They're almost through the crowd."
Takashi forced his curiosity to tempt him. "What are we going to do?"
"I'll win the jackpot and then you get out of here in all the comotion." She gave him a brif smile and let her chocolate like eyes study the casino, "They're at the front of the crowd now." Her voice was almost a whisper.
"But how on earth are you gonna win th ja-"
Reki put a finger to his lips, "Act like normal and as soon as I win run somewhere safe."
"But whe-"
"Shhhh."
It took only a few minutes sitting wih Reki and her scribbling on a peice of paper with various sums and calculations until she turned around to meet Takashi's azure stare. He handed her the bag of coins.
"Are you sure this is going to work?" Takashi turned around breifly he had no idea which of the people in the crowd were following him.
"Yup. I always win." She giggled.
After pushing in the last few coins her finger pushed the lever. Different coloured pictures and figures bagan to roll into one large blur that flashed past Takashi's eyes until Reki's finger pushed the first button, the first slot stopped at a seven.
"Wow." Takashi breathed.
Reki then pushed the second and third buttons one almost emmedietly after the other. A large fanfare and flashing lights deafened the casino, waitresses rushed to the scene while gamblers rushed over to see if Reki was to give them any "freebees". Takashi stood still for a moment watching the endless sea of coins fall out of the machine, Reki nudged him and he pushed his way through the crowd.
Takashi leant against the wall, gulping in a few breathes of longed for air. He had run fifteen flights of stairs and had almost made it to the roof, maybe this wasn't the best excape plan...but it was too late to go back down.
He spun his head around as he heard some footsteps, coming up to the same floor Takashi was standing on. He began to run up the last flieght of stairs.
Large hands grabbed his shoulders, pulling him back. He tried to cry out but all he could see was blackness.

Summary: Leo investigates anothe murder while Takashi has a shocking descovery.

Takashi brought another hangover cure to Reki's bedside. She looked asleep but surprised Takashi when she greeted him with a soft grunt and a slight smile. Her golden hair was mostly over her face making it hard to tell if her eyes were open or not, but Reki answered Takashi's thoughts by pulling the hair out of her face and gave an open smile.
"How are you feeling?" Takashi's voice was gentle and felt soothing as his soft breath tickled Reki's face.
"A little better." She replied.
"Leo really must have drank loads lastnight." Takashi sighed and handed Reki the small vodka glass that held the hangover cure.
"He told me that he's downed fifteen spirits and a bit of sloe gin."
"Sloe gin?"
"A sip of soe gin will get you really tipsy lets say, so downing it would give you the worst hangover imaginable." Reki gave a little giggle, "I guess he was really annoyed, I'd better say sorry to him."
"He and the others have gone to solve another case so maybe later." Takashi brushed some hair that fell on Reki's face, her nose squinted as the few strands tickled her upper lip, "Would you like some more hangover cure?"
"I'm alright thanks, Ta-kun."
Takashi gave a warm smile as he heard he say his name, just hearing her voice gave him a warm feeling but when he said her name-
"I guess we could go to Lily City next - cause its not far away from here." She gave another smile.
Takashi gave a gulp, "Um," He paused, "Well if you really want, I guess we could go to Lily City but its not all that exciting there."
"But Taaaa-kun." She gave a warm smile, "Anyway you just say its not interesting cause you grew up there." She sat up a little and looked into his clear blue eyes, they looked like the azure skies that surrounded Lily City, his long white hair was perfect. Every strand fit into place apart from when a strand fell from his shoulders and tickled Reki's face which was now close to his. He looked like the prince out of the fairytales Reki had heard as a little girl.
"Um..." Takashi gulped, he held Reki's gaze fo what seemed like hours, years, decades but in reality was only a few seconds. They're eyes locked and they're faces edged closer to eachothers. Quickly before thinking Takashi threw himself back from the bedside. "Yeah maybe we should go to Lily City and I guess you could meet my family as well." He avoided eye contact with her. Sh-she was so- He shaked his head. His family would never allow it, no matter what. They're worlds were clearly different, they're worlds would never ever meet.

"What? So she died by drowning?" Sakamaru peered at the body lieing on the double bed.
"Her name is Miss Ruby Blood, she's female, caucuasian, nineteen, sir." The small policeman said handing Leo a file of her details. The group had learned that the small policemans name was Jerry. "Here are the rest of her details."
"So your sure she died by drowning?" Leo asked. It was more of a statement than a question.
"Yes, her lungs were full of water."
"I guess she could have been drinking way too much water." Sakamaru eyed the body.
Aries was right up to the dead girl who she had learned was by the name of Ruby. Pity Aries thought, the late Ruby was beautiful and a stab of jealiousy hit her. It wasn't fair that even when this girl was dead that she was prettier than anyone Aries had ever seen. The beauty was almost other-worldly, just like Leo. Aries had never seen anyone as handsome as Leo, but his beauty was too...it seemed wrong that his angular and handsome face looked  soo...it wasn't of this world.
Aries looked back at the girl at peace, her hair was red and waved around to compliment her perfectly formed face and dark lips. She was tall as well as thin and had all the right curves in all the right places.
Aries lifted her pale hands - almost as pale as the late Ruby Blood - and opened Ruby's mouth, "Thats impossible, her mouth is completely dry."
Leo came up next to Aries and leaned on the bed next to her. His body was warm against her shoulder, his top half covered with a white shirt with the top buttons of it had fallen off. Aries edged off the bed and watched from behind, a stinging pain shot her in the heart, and she stuffed her hands in the pockets of her cardigan.
"Your right." Leo sighed, his finger tip formed into a glow which illuminated Ruby's mouth.
"But when did she die?" Aries pointed to the case file.
Jerry opened it up and after a few seconds of reading replied, "About four hours ago."
"Then she didn't drown." Leo muttered, his green eyes went dark as he pushed his reading glasses onto his nose. His face went emotionless like what Aries had seen after first meeting him.
Thats right. A thought krept into Aries' head. Leo had showed more emotion and was more talkative after being with the group for a couple of weeks, maybe he was growing more comfortable with others. But he still was a very anti-social person who would always keep himself to himself but Aries had spotted a little improvement.
"What do you mean?" Sakamaru asked, one hand went through his coal black hair.
"If she had died by either drowning herself by drinking too much water or had been drowned by someojne else and then placed in her bed then her mouth would still be full of salyva or another form of liquid at least." Leo checked her lifted her thick hair, just as thick as Aries' hair.
"Some form of magic?" Aries muttered.
Leo nodded. He turned the late Ruby's head so it faced Aries' position and checked her head for any form of clues.
"Thats dissapointing Leo," Aries gave a small chuckle, "Are you all out of cleverness?"
His green eyes looked up and studied Aries for a bit, "I am - well actuelly - no I dunno but I'll be able to figure it out...some how." He sighed, "And thanks for the compli-"
"LEO!" Aries' sapphire like eyes widened, her pupils enlarged (even though they were larger than normal anyway.) "Uh-um." She took a few steps back.
"What?" Sakamaru walked next to Aries so he could see what she could. Just like Aries had done before, his eyes widened, "Oh the Spirits." His went white.
"What?" Leo growled.
"Look...at her her face." Aries breathed.
Leo did so.
The supposedly dead Ruby's eyes were wide open, looking up at Leo.

Reki was sat upright now, her heart was beating faster as she looked down at Takashi. He was lieing on the floor looking back up at her, again they're eyes locked and they stared into the pools of eachothers eyes.
"Di-." Reki breathed tying to slow her heartbeat down. Why was it beating so fast? Why was her breathing becoming faster? She closed her puppy brown eyes. "Did I offend you?"
"N-no!" Takashi shot back apolegeticly. "I jus- um...uh." Like Reki, he closed his eyes and took a few deep breaths. He had never had this feeling before but had read of it in many of those great novels. He knew this feeling so well - yet he had never felt it. Was he? No thats impossible. Atleast it should have been. No. This wasn't fair!
"Ta-kun?" Reki leaned over the edge of the bed. "Are you feeling alright?"
Takashi opened his azure like eyes and realised that he had been hyperventalating, "Y-yes I'm fine." He breathed and gave a forced smile, "This happens to me sometiomes, its like asthma or something." He lied. He knew what it was and it certiantly wasn't asthma - it was love.

Jerry almost fainted after seeying the undead Ruby's eyes wide open. He gave a soft whimper and backed toward the door. Leo stared at him as if to say "coward".
Ruby's blank stare wouldn't leave Leo. Her eyes refused to blink. They flared like fire yet had the colour of the ocean. With a blank gaze like that of someone who had recetly passed away, but she was supposed to be dead!
Leo stood up from the bed, the eyes fllowed, her head didn't move, nor did any other part of her lifeless body but her eyes would never leave the sight of Leo.
"She isn't breathing." Sakamaru muttered.
"Nor blinking." Leo's emerald like eyes narrowed.
Aries leant over and clicked her fingers right up against Ruby's face. The lifeless Ruby didn't blink. Aries blocked Leo's view from Ruby but the undead Ruby seemed to look right past Aries. "Maybe she's a zombie." Aries half laughed.
"She isn't." Leo sighed.
"Your right, there isn't ayy negetive energy coming from the body." Aries stepped back, in fact there was no energy or soul coming from the body at all.
Leo blinked and studied Aries, "Hmmm, I should have guessed." One corner of his mouth edged into a strange kind of smile, the smile you would expect from someone watching this scene, "Not just a Tarot Master but you can see peoples soul energies*."
"What?" Aries glared at him, "And don't ask me to tell you your soul energy cause I don't want to look."
"Good."
"Good indeed." Aries growled.
Sakamaru was trying to help the recently collapsed Policeman with gaining conciousness. He roled his eyes at the small fight from Aries and Leo. This wasn't a time to fight, there was an undead body in the room which could lunge at them at any minute now.
Leo had formed a tiny flame from the tip of his finger and placed it on Ruby's hand. She didn't moved.
"Her nervous system is non-existant it seems." Leo muttered and put his finger on her wrist. "No heartbeat either."
Ruby started to choke, she began to cough up water before wretching then went back to her staring at Leo state and refused to blink or breath.
Again Leo placed his finger on her wrist and placed his ear just above her chest so it was level with her heart. He narrowed his eyes.
"Is there a heartbeat?" Sakamaru lifted his head up.
"Not real- well yes but it's seriously slow." Leo began to close his eyes and listened hard for another sign of a heartbeat.
A few seconds paced and he shaked his head.
"Now thats just rude." A new voice, purring like a cat spoke up, "How dare you put your head to my breast."

*Basically reading soul energies is seeying whether you have a good soul or bad soul which basically means she can tell if your a good person or bad person. But Aries doesn't look at peoples soul energies a lot as i drains her energy a hell of a lot and if she looks into a soul that is too evil or too pure then it'll hurt her. ^^

Summary: The group become detectives for the day.

It was morning in the never aging, never resting, never dark city of Geraldo Gold. The day looked like it was going to be a fine day, a few spots of clouds against a blue sky with the light smog of the city dulling the lower area of the azure sky. Unlike the country, the group weren't woken up by birds but by the constant muttering of the street below and the heavy traffic of horses and carts. Even when so high up in such a large casino hotel, the constant noise was like a plague to the travelers ears.
Sakamaru had woken up early that morning and decided to have a walk around the hotel. He returned after only a few minutes of wandering around.
"Morning." Leo muttered to Sakamaru as the jet black haired man walked in. Leo was reading the local newspaper while eating what looked like a chocolate hobnob.
"Morning Saki!" Libraya chirped. Her hair was dripping wet after she had a quick shower, a towel covered her body while her hands were busy making some tea for herself, Leo and Aries.
"Hey you two, are the others up?" Sakamaru ran one hand through his hair.
"Aries is having a shower and the others are still asleep." Libraya peered at Leo, "And thanks to someone, Reki is in bed with a really bad hangover, which reminds me, I've got that hangover cure she told me about to give to her." She picked up a small glass full of murky liquid and made her way to Reki's room.
"Theres no need to look at me like that." Leo muttered, never lifting his eyes to face Sakamaru, "In my opinion she deserved it."
"I guess she did kind of, anyway I've been on a little walk around the hotel and I've heard some mutterings that there was a murder in this hotel last night!"
"What about it?" Leo took another bit out of the biscuit which was now half eaten.
"Well, your pretty clever. Actuelly your really clever. Why don't you check it out?" Sakamaru gave a slight smile, his dark green eyes shone like a pair of jewels.
"Because its none of my business."
"But its unsolved, other peoples lives are at stake. I mean what if the murderer goes around killing othe people in this hotel? and I heard a policeman say that they hadn't found any clues."
Leo gave a long sigh, "Alright, I'll have a look."

The whole group were crowded around the corridor just outside the room where the victem had been stabbed the night before. Long yellow tape was pulled across the door to the room.
"S'cusme." A short policeman said, "You can't come any further across this point, theres been a homocide in this room. Kindly get back please." He looked the nurvious type and when Leo towered over him he almost shriveled up, "I'm sorry sir but please get back."
"Has a detective looked at the scene?" Leo said, not taking any notice of the ploceman.
"Sir please get back or do I have to call security?"
"Why don't we talk to your chief?" Wolfee nudged the policeman.
"Um, uh alright sir, I'll uh be right back." The policeman scurried into the hotelroom.
Reki was leaning on Takashi one hand on her head and a constant groan coming from her lips, the other hand was holding a half empty glass of murky orange liquid.
"You feeling any better?" Takashi asked Reki.
"A little bit, I should be alright soon." She gave a small smile, "I hope."
"What can I do for you?" A large gruff man with grey hair asked.
"Well I've heard that you've got no leads on this murder case, also I hear that you havn't found anything leading to the leads." Leo put his black rimmed glasses on, "Well I might not be right but I'm pretty sure I'm right, aren't I?"
The mans grey eyes studied Leo for a moment, "You are right, but we already have detectives on this case."
"I'm not a detective though." Leo gave the smallest of smiles.
"Then we don't need you at all in that case."
"You didn't let me finish Inspector Fisher, that is your name, right?" Leo pressed a finger on the rim of his glasses and pushed them back toward the top of his nose.
"How'd you know my name?" The Inspector's eyes widened slightly.
"It says your full name on the back of your collar (bless your mum), and your obviously an inspector I can tell because of your uniform, and judging by your reaction I'm right."
The inspector replied Leo with a blank stare.
"Oh, and I'm not a detective but I'm quite intelligent."

"You have a really sharp eye, Leo." Takashi grinned, "Look at all these police."
The room was crowded full of police and a couple of detectives. There were two artists sketching the dead body* and a journalist from the local paper interviewing the Chief Constable.
"Hate crowds." Aries muttered.
"Heres the body sir." The inspector pointed to it.
The body was lieing on the bed, blood stains were splattered around the bed and a chair next to it.
"You found the body in that position?" Aries asked.
"Yes."
"But the blood stains are mostly on the arm chair." She pointed to the chair.
"Yeah that looks right." Reki added.
"I'm gonna wait outside." Wolfee sighed, "Don't like looking at dead things."
"Same." Libraya tagged along behind the werewolf.
Sakamaru nodded his head, "I'll wait in the corridor as well."
Leo stepped over to the body, he picked up a sketch of the stab wounds and studied the shirt, "If you found him here, it wouldn't add up." He lefted the shirt that revealed a stab wound to the stomach. "If he were lieing flat out then the wound would be higher because the shirt would be uncreased. Whereas, like Aries had said, sitting down during the attack then the shirt woul be creased up and the wound would match." Leo lifted the body so it was in an upright sitting position, "See, the stab wounds match perfectly when he's in this position."
"Y-your right." A detective muttered, "Why hadn't I seen this before?"
Leo placed the victem's body back. Like any dead body it was pale with a grey tinge, with lifeless, curly hair hair and a peaceful expression the sight of it sent several shivers up Takashi's spine. How could anyone here be the slightest bit comfortable with a dead man in theyre presence?
"He's got bruises to the back of the head and his knuckles are slightly bruised, the wire over there which should be curled up has been stretched meaning there must have been a struggle. The candle wick is completely burned out, which would mean that he hadn't yet gone to bed and there are scratch marks on the floor where the chair has been moved." Leo pased for a bit, "Have you found any fingerprints or hair?"
"Only a little."
"Then contact his family because I've found this peice of hair which is the same colour as his hair but isn't curly and unlike his hair, hasn't got any split ends."
"W-wow sir." Inspector Fisher smiled.
"The victem would have known the killer, maybe they were having a conversation, the victem and killer would have had a fight, the killer pushed him into the chair and stabbed him. Oh and judging by these scratched on the back of his neck the killer would have been female with manachured nails. Anyway after killing the victem, the killer would have placed him in bed to look like it had been down while the victem was asleep."
"Well as a matter of fact, it seems as though he's got a member of his family staying in the hotel, his sister actuelly." Inspector Fisher smiled, "We'll have to check her fingerprints and hair."
"Meh, I could've solved it." Reki wailed.

"Wow, so Leo solved the case?" Wolfee grinned.
"Seems so." Aries grinned, "They're just checking out the suspect and we should hear from them soon I guess."
"Y'know Leo? You should become a detective." The werewolf was lieing on the floor of the sitting room next to Zack.
"No way in hell." Leo replied, "Its like politics, your always gonna piss someone off whether you solve the case or not." He returned to the leather bound book that had occupied his interest. His emerald like green eyes wouldn't leave the yellow stained pages, his glasses reflected the sun light a little giving his eyes a strange shine.
"Haha thats true." Aries lay back on the sofa letting hr chessnut brown hair fall on the arm of the sofa.
The small and scrawny policeman that had shielded the group from the crime scene before burst through the hotel door. "Leo, Sir, we need your help again, you see we've found the suspect and she definatly killed the victem but...um sir...she's dead." He was panting and almost doubled over the table, it seemed that he had been running up a load of stairs to find they're hotel room.
"What? Suicide?" Leo asked, not taking his attention off the book.
"No, we found he in her bed, but..."
"Spit it out already." Sakamaru sipped at the cup of tea he had made a little earlier.
"She was drowned."

*This is a time before cameras so they would have to sketch the evidence instead of photographing it. ^^

Summary: Something strange happans to the party.

Wolfee slowly drifted from reality to soft dream, waves carried his soul between the two worlds. His consciosnious finally got the better of his soft and soothing dreams.
"Unghhh." He groaned.
Turning his head he met the gaze of Aries. She was sat up brushing her chessnut brown hair.
"Morning." Aries breathed passing Wolfee a cup of coffee.
"G-good....morning." He yawned before stopping. His voice sounded...a little higher than usual. He let his eyes close while the pounding pain of a headache crashed down on him.
"A hangover?" Aries laughed, "Libraya you fool, I told you to take it easy on those Bloody Marys last night.
"Li-bloody-, whaaaaat?" Wolfee's body jolted upright. THis must have been some joke, or maybe a dream but he had just woken up from a dream or was it like one of those stories he heard when somrone falls asleep and is caught in a dream in a dream in a dream..."I don't even like Bloody Marys...and I hate coffee!"
"Well just lie down again and I'll get you a hangover cure, Reki taught me a really good one." Aries stood up.
Wolfee groaned a little more, this was sureal. Maybe Aries was just playing a practicle joke, though it was strange waking up in her bedroom, he agreed to pair up with Sakamaru. "Waaaiit stay!" Another groan cried from him. His voice did ound a lot like Libraya's though...and...a few strands of purple hair fell over his face. Maybe it was a wig. What a wierd practicle joke! It was worthy of his genious. Wolfee tugged at the purple strands, they were real. He looked down. He had-
"WHY DO I HAVE BREASTS?!" He shot up from the bed, "WHOSE CUT OFF MY TAIL?!"
"What the-?" Aries rolled her eyes, "I can see that your not quite sober yet, Libraya."
"WHY ARE YOU CALLING ME LIBRAYA?! I'M WOLFEE!"
"No your not, you have boobs because your female, your tail has NOT been cut off, you never HAD a tail, and I'm calling you Libraya because that IS your name believe it or not."
"B-but I must be dreaming cause I am Wolfee! See I can prove it! My name is Hachi!! See? H-A-C-H-I Hachi! This is the wierdest practicle joke EVER and and and I'M A HOT GIRL!" He ran to the full length mirror at the other end of the room and began to squeeze his rear end.
"Hachi don't you dare perv on yoursel- I mean Libraya!" Aries grabed Libraya's body and pulled her back. "It must be that stuff you had when you were drunk.
"Huh? What stuff?" Aries recognised the common "Wolfee" confused look on his face.
"I dunno, I just saw this stand and it said something bout switching bodies."
"Wait...does this mean that some of the others might have swaped bodies?"
"Maybe, who knows."
"But-but how do I know that its YOU?"
"Cause I didn't get pissed lastnight and I can recall all my memories from lastnight and I definatly didn't drink some of that wierd potion." She let go of Wolfee who had required the body of Libraya, "I guess everyone who got hammered might have taken that stuff."

Takashi had overslept that morning but it seemed that everyone else were still in bed, must have been all that drink they had had the night before. He brushed some white hair out of his face before grabbing some tomatoes and alchohol and some other ingredients. Maybe he could welcome Reki and the others with a nice Bloody Mary.
"Morning." Reki said in a monotone. She seemed to have her concentration in a book, it looked a lot like the book that Leo had been reading yestarday. She had Leo's black rimmed glasses hanging from one side of her mouth, chewing it.
"Morning Reki-chan." Takashi was surprised, where was that Reki he knew and loved? The one who would run and hug him, winding all the breath out of him. "Would you like a Bloody Mary?"
"That would be nice." Her voice sounded slightly lower then usual, maybe because her concentration was in the blood coloured book that she was reading.
"Are you alright?" Takashi handed her the drink, "I mean you don't seem yourself this morning."
"Thats because I'm not myself." She replied, her attention still on the book, her voice slightly muffled by her chewing on the reading glasses. Her knees were up to her chin and her arms wrapped around them while holding the book.
"Well, has something happened? Or is it the hangover, the Bloody Mary won't be good for a hangover you know."
"I'm literally not myself." She replied almost immediatly.
Takashi looked confused.
She sighed, "If you haven't realised, something happened las-"
"Moooorning!" A purple haired Libraya flung herself at Takashi. "I have lovely boooobs!"
"Um...uh...um.." Takashi gave a shaky laugh, not knowing how to answer with Aries swagering through the same door that Libraya had made an appearance from.
"You know, Takashi?" She grinned, "I could snog myself!"
"Oh dear." Reki breathed lifting one of her deep brown eyes from the page. "I should have guessed, good morning Wolfee." None of the others heard her mutter except from Aries.
"So your Leo inside Reki's body." She muttered in Reki's ear, "Takashi must be really stupid not to realise."
"Well you knew that Wolfee is in Libraya's body but he didn't know anything of the night before, so give him a fair chance." Reki's body replied.
"Well, lets keep what has happened to ourselves, it'll be interesting o see how everyone reacts." Aries gave a slight grin and Reki/Leo returned it with a sigh.
It was only a few seconds after Aries' comment that Leo's bvody swaggered through the door, his shirt was mostly unbuttoned letting his toned chest and paper thin stomach in full view. An unusaul grin was on his face and his green eyes sparkled with mischievious. Reki's soul had obviously taken his body.
"Hiiiii!" Leo's body smiled in a loud voice, "Who wants to see me do the full monty?"
Reki's body almost started to choke. She spat out the reading glasses that she had previously been chewing the arm of it.
Sakamaru soon stepped throuh the door leading to the bedroom, "Wolfee is being gaaaaaay!" A cry of help left his lips, his hair messed up by Wolfee's body who had been all over him that morning.
Wolfee's body soon jumped onto Sakamaru's back, "But Saki, its been years since I've properly given you a 'good morning'" He giggled.
"What is going on with everyone?" Takashi looked more confused than ever, it almost seemed as though his friends had swiched personalities...Strange...
"What was that you were saying bout the full monty?" Libraya's body, which had been possessed by Wolfee grinned, "'Cause I'll gladly so it with you."
"Don't you dare Libra- I mean Wolfee!" Wolfee's body cried out, "If you do then I'll get your body soo drunk that you'll have the killer of all hangovers!"
"Haha, I've been threatened by myself." Libraya's body laughed before flicking back a few strands of purple hair, "I see why you tie your hair back, its so darn long."
"Yeah well I'll snog Sakamaru and you'll loose your first kiss to a guy!" Wolfee shouted.
"I've already lost mine, and anyway Sakamaru is a pretty cute guy."
"Arrrrgh, darnnit." Wolfee's body pouted.
"What the hell is going oooon?" Both Sakamaru and Takashi chorused.
"Libraya are you gonna full monty with me or not?" Leo's body demanded, "Or what bout you, Wolfee?" He threw his shirt off, "Wooow Leo is hot, hmmm I wonder how bi-"
"Don't you dare molest yourself!!" Reki flung herself at Leo throwing Leo back.
"Wow I've never heard Leo I mean Reki raise her voice like that." Libraya laughed.
Leo seemed to be interested in revealing his entire body, this confused Takashi a lot. He had never realised that Leo was so poud of his figure and his...well apparently it was large. What confused Takashi even more was that Wolfee and Libraya were having a fight about eachothers bodies...and for some reason Libraya was complimenting Wolfee's body and saying that she could love herself. The strangest thing though was that Reki had been rather quiet and then seemed to be rreally against the idea of Leo showing himself off. Atr the moment Takashi was sat down, one hand was equiped wiith a Bloody Mary and the other was patting the head of Zack. At least Sakamaru, Aries and the dog were acting "normal".

The morning had bee quite animated but now the group were all sat down, Reki had muttered a few words that she would kill Leo while Leo was looking at himself down below. Aries was trying to comfort Reki who had now had a look of absolute depression on her face.
Wolfee and Libraya were still argueing and nw Wolfee was gulping down quite a few glasses of various spirits, Bloody Marys, and pints of beer.
Sakamaru and Takashi were still completely puzzeled about what had happened so Aries had sat them all down to explain.
"Well it seems to me that all the group that has remained 'normal' were the ones that hadn't got completely pissed lastnight." Sakamaru ran a hand through his jet black hair.
"Haven't you guys realised whats happened yet?" Aries gave a mischevious smile.
"Well...um...no." Takashi's face screwed up into a picture of complete puzzlement.
"In that case think back to lastnight." Reki's eyes could barely be seen by her knees coivering most of her face, she had lifted her head sligtly after burrying her face on her knees of utter imbarisment. "Remember lastnight that there was a stand which said something like "Body swap potion, special offer." It was a one night offer and if I can remember correctly it lasts for twelve hours."
"Oh, yes I remember." Takashi said.
"Well you can figure the rest out yourselves." Leo's body smiled.
"Ohhhh." Takashi recalled the night before. Most of the group except for Aries, Sakamaru and himself had celebrated the winnings they had recieved after Reki's "lucky striek" at the slots and cards. THey had all drunk loads of booze with the help of Reki's winnings and before long could barely hold a sentance. Takashi couldn't quite remember why Leo was celebrating but after a few bottles Leo had slurred a few words about pain and suffering. Takashi, Aries and Sakamaru spent a few hours walking around Geraldo City looking at the lit up sights that blazed like multicoloured candles.
"Well," Reki sighed, "I think we'll turn back in about half an hour or so, that means I'm going off to the pub to damage Reki's body and make sure she wakes up in a ditch full of horse manure and will have the worst headache since old man Mcblind walked into a field full of land mines."
"Well you are real hot." Leo's body laughed.
"Why do the cow pats from the devils own satanic herd spawn my life?!!"

Summary: A visit to the Casino

Somehow Reki had convinced the party to visit the Gerado City, more commonly known as Gold City. This nickname was appropiate to the city, lights and fireworks lit up the skys by night while by day visitors roamed the City.
Deep in the centre of the never sleeping City was a casino, the largest not only on the Continent but the World. Some said that Gerado Casino was the heart and soul of the City while others claimed that the Casino was the City itself, either way you could see why; The size itself could have swallowed up a large town while gold beams clung to every wall in the Casino and lights blinded passers by. Inside were a variety of rooms, the ground floor held one room, a hall that could house a million souls with slot machines and pocker tables filling the crowded room. The room was rich in deep red carpets and walls covered in gold paint while hordes of souless humans occupied every table, some shouting of they're victory while others had they're last gold pieces prized from them by the staring eyes of the hosts. Slim women with alchahol rich trays tempted the souls to stay longer, everyone seemed to be trapped in this one hall, never to get out without selling they're livelyhoods to the slots and cards.
The rooms above the main hall would all be hotel rooms so when the drunk or broken were tired they could lie for a bit before losing even more money.
"How did we end up here?" Takashi sighed. His clear blue eyes wandered around the main hall.
"I feel like trying my hand at some cards." Reki had a grin painted on her face, her eyes lit up as she saw a dance floor at the end of the hall with a karioki machine. She then let her eyes look up at Takashi.
"No, I am NOT singing." Takashi met Reki's stare.
"Awwww." She replied with a pout and then a giggle.
A few metres away Leo gave an excausted sigh.
"Whats up with you?" Wolfee said.
"Why must humans sell themselves like this?" His piercing green eyes seemed to wince as they spied an old man loose all his money at a game of cards.
"What so your not human?" Libraya laughed.
Leo rolled his eyes, "Course I am, I'm just saying that its so-"
"Greed driven?" Sakamaru laughed, a small pixie appeared behind him. He wore a slim fitting black and purple tuxedo, ong finger was twirling one a strand of jet black hair.

"Cheer up, Leo." Aries nudged him. She wore a slim fitting black and turqouise dress which showed her figure off perfectly. Both Aries and Leo were alone sitting at one of the many bar which tempted the gamblers with its variety of expensive liquors. At this bar it wasn't as crowded as the others, this suited bot perfectly. Naturally Aries, like a young wolf, got nervous in large crowds and Leo didn't seem to like the company of other souls very much.
Leo had simply put on a tie and did a few buttons of his shirt to fit in the World of dresses and tuxedos that was scratched into the casino. His trousers were pin strip, and shirt and waistcoat fit to his body shape. THis meant that his slim shadow attracted a lot of attention, mainly the girls that blushed when his eyes brushed past them.
"Why in hell's cesspit should I cheer up?" His perfectly formed face had formed into a long frown.
"Your dragging own the groups moral." Aries forced a wonky smile while she passed him a cocktail. After realising that he wouldn't answer that statement she continued, "Could you at least point me in the direction of what's wrong?"
"People are like overgrown pigs, rolling around in they're own filth or other peoples filth, so much until they're covered in that mess that they caused. They seem to enjoy it until they realise that that mess stinks, stinks so much that no one wants them anymore. All they have is that mess that THEY caused." His face turned sour.
"Um...." Aries gave an uncomfortable laugh. "Thats some nice...imagery. But to be honest its none of your business."
"I know."
"I mea-."
"I know!"

Reki had soon pushed past the crowds and had tried her hand at poker. By the time Aries and Leo had found a way to the table, Reki had already made three other men weep after they gave her they're last few gold peices.
"Wow, she's good." Libraya overheard a man watching the game behind them.
"What if she's counting cards? You know you could be thrown out of the casino for that." Another muttered.
"Really? Thats tight." The first man laughed.
"How come your so good Reki?" LIbraya lent over and muttered in Reki's ear.
Libraya's long hair brushed the side of Reki's neck, "T'is secret." She giggled before saying, "Raise." Motioning at the host to take more of the counters she had placed on the table.
"Do you think she's counting cards?" Sakamaru muttered, he turned to Leo. To his knowledge so far it seemed that Leo was the most intelligent of the party but still he felt uncomfortable talking to him. THe cloaked stranger looked a lot like Leo. Maybe they were related? Perhaps brothers. Thats it, Sakamaru thought. The cloaked stranger must have been looking for his long lost brother, but he disapeared soon after Sakamaru led him to Leo. Strange. Maybe something was wrong, on the rooftop that night he could sense something bad...But he got a good deal out of it. Sakamaru had gained a large amount of money, someone to ook after Pixie for a bit and he found Libraya. Maybe it wasn't strange...
"No." Leo sighed.
"Luck?" Sakamaru led a hand through his jet black hair.
"No." Leo lowered his voice,
"What then?"
"Lets put it this way, if anyone were to find out her method then she'd be arrested, so I would be quiet if I were you."
Leo's green eyes seemed to penetrate through Sakamaru's mind, it almost seemed as though he could hear Sakamaru's wandering thoughts. Those eyes scaeed Sakamaru, they were so bright, not like Sakamaru's eyes, a duller shade of green which still seemed bright but not like Leo's...
"Oiiiiii Leooo!" Wolfee's arms wrapped around his friends shoulders, the werewolf had to stand on tiptoes until his head could rest on one of his friend's shoulders, "Why are all the pretty girls looking at you?"
"What?!" Leo splutered, he hated other people noticing him, let alone blushing as he walked past or gazing at him dreamily.
"Your wierd. Any normal guy would love girls to fancy him but your the opposite." Sakamaru laughed.
"Well don't look too upset Wolfee, I think those girls over there are looking at you." Libraya smiled.
Wolfee still pouting muttered, "But those other ones were prettier."
Leo turned to ARies who had returned from watching a roulette table, "This is why I hate people."

SOTD 032 - The Blue Sky Sings

A few days passed since Aries had found the grave which had brought her to Hallohel, the group all stood on the soil of Multi. The green leaves that Spring had brought decorated the trees and brightly coloured flowers were dotted around. Their spirits had lifted since returning to Multi, it was extremly different from Eastern Hallohel. Unlike Hallohel, the sky was blue with the odd cloud and the graves were all kept to the churchyards - not scattered around in the forests and road sides.
"I still don't get that gravestone!" Wolfee muttered to Aries while they were seated one of the outside areas of a pub. Leo was ordering some drinks.
"Wolfee when I say 'shut up' it means shut up." The wolf eyed girl sighed.
"Bu-"
"Unless you want this bear glass shoved up your backside so far that it'll make it impossible for you to walk ever again then I strongely advice you to shut up about the matter. Alright?" Aries lifted the glass and waved it at Wolfee.
The werewolf replied with a gulp and took a sip from his pint.
After a few more minutes Wolfee was destracted after his eyes meet the gaze of a group of pretty girls from a foriegn country, their eyes glittered like the sun. He waved at them and slipped up from the pub bench and walked over to the group.
Aries sighed and turned to Leo who had arrived with a couple of pints, "How did you know all that?"
"Mostly guesses." Leo's face was expresionless.
"Pretty darn good guesses in that case." Her deep blue eyes looked like an endless fire-like abyss where the souls of the damned screamed.
"So you admit I was right, sisn't you say you didn't know anything about that woman?"
"I mean about the last part." She lifted the pint glass to her lips and slowly drank  from it.
"Don't worry, its up to you whether you do anything and anyway I'm in no need of telling anyone. It's your business, nothing to do with me." His emerald like eyes studied the sky, a couple of blue tits flew past. "I've got other things to worry about then your business."
"Haha, trust Wolfee not to perv over nice-looking girls." Libraya laughed peering at the werewolf. She was walking with Sakamaru, they were having a walk around the village.
Sakamaru laughed a little before asking Libraya, "I never asked what you've been up to since I moved." His dark eyes watched as Pixie jumped around in front of the couple.
"I'd rather know what happened to you." Libraya's purple hair was untied and it flowed in the soft and gentle wind.

Meanwhile, on the other side of Navy Village Reki and Takashi were alone with eachother, that is a part from the extra addition of a small winged dog. It was a warm day, the sun high in the sky meaning midday. And with it came the soft chatter of the songbirds.
"Reki, I know you that you don't know much about me and I vice versa but I need to say something maybe soon...no - um - ah - what I mean is, no I want to say tha-" Takashi could barely manage to speak, his voice trembled and words were muddled up when they left his lips.
"I wanna go to Rainbow city! Wouldn't that be sooo cool, and weren't you born in Lily City? Cause we are gonna pass that on the way to Rainbow so I can see that huuuuuge castle in Lily, did you ever meet the royal family? Won't it be soo amazing to see that huuuuge castle?!"" Reki kept throwing questions at Takashi until a soft sigh drew from his lips.
"Reki, please listen to me!" He finally said with a raised voice. "Can't we change route?" His voice was barely a whisper now.
"How come, Ta-kun?" Large brown eyes looked into his sky blue ones.
"Cause...Lily City is a dangerous place for me to be." He sighed, voice almost braking, "There are people out there looking for me."
"O-oh..." Reki was obviously disapionted but she faked a huge grin and said, "What about Rainbow City?"
"I'm sure Rainbow City will be fine, I'll just have to disguise myself." His lips curled into a soft smile. "I'm sor-"
"Don't be!" She grinned, "I'm sure Lily is really not all its cracked up to be and anyway as long as your safe and happy then I'll always be happy!"
"Thankyou so much Reki." He leaned over and gave her a hug and kissed her gently on the cheek.

Summary: How intelligent is Leo? And a little of Aries' "destiny".

"Oh for the Spirits sake!" Sakamaru sighed, one hand went through his jet black hair. "This is the fifth time you've won, Leo!"
Leo lifted a finger to where his glasses had edged foreward and slipped gently down his nose: "Get over it, it's just a game." Another finger pushed one of the playing pieces to the starter square.
"How about another game huh?" Wolfee grinned.
"No way in Hell. Leo always wins and last time it took him like two minutes to guess who dun'it." Sakamaru started to get up.
"Alright then." Wolfee's lips rose, "How bout a new game - Who can beat Leo."
"Yeah I like that idea, so all of us against Leo." Reki laughed.
Green eyes looked bored as usual and emotionless. Getting up Leo said, "Don't bother, Cluedo gets way too boring." Before walking off like a slim shadow. Since two nights before Leo had been even more quiet then usual, usually his handsome face had a ponder like expression painted onto it. After stepping through the door which led to one of the bedrooms, he fell onto the double bed.
Aries watched this, "You alright?"
She took a few steps toward the bed. Wolf like eyes observed his half open, half closed illuminous green eyes, shining like jewels, flickering with sadness, screaming with torment and power. Aries gulped. She had seen a small...something in the which sent nightmares to her wandering mind. A quick flash of black then white then she heard a caged scream. Shaking her head she started to blink, trying to chase the thought off. What was that? That scream sounded as though it came from Leo but it hadn't. But it was just her imagination.
Leo's eyes looked up, his stomach rested on the bed, it didn't look too compfy but he didn't seem to mind. Black rimned glasses were falling off but that didn't seem to bother him either. He didn't reply Aries' question.
"Why don't you ever talk?" She sat down beside him. This did seem to bother him, the presence of another soul trying to uncover his true self.
"Because I don't tell lies." His voice was muffled by the sheets which he had now burried his head into.
"Whats that supposed to mean?"
"It's supposed to mean that I will never lie." He repeated.
"Ah." Aries sighed with realisation. "I get it, so if I ask you a question you either tell the truth or don't answer it at all. Mean that your not alright or otherwise you would have replied because you don't want me to think your alright, right?"
"Well, you've figured out that I'm unable to lie."
"But lieing is human, everyone lies."
"Well I don't." Leo pulled his reading glasses off.

"So now its the time of truth!" Wolfee grinned. He was accompanied with Zack and Aries. "I know find out the reason why you wanted to come to Hallohel in the first place! Although technically I kinda guessed the reason, well its the time of truth to find out if my guess wa-"
"Shut up Wolfee." Aries sighed. They were in the depths of the Forest that surrounded Ueleto Town, even there they were graves covered in moss which made it impossible to read the many carvings scratched onto them.
"So what is it that we are looking for?" Wolfee shivered, how could Aries be so calm with all of these grave markers around reminding him of the many souls that have perished in this haunting Land.
"A grave..." She shot a fireball at one of the grave stones so the moss was set alite laving a barely readible grave behind.
"Whose grave are you looking for?" Wolfee questioned.
"I dunno."
"How do you know when we've found it."
"I just...will, ok."
"But really how will yo-"
"Wolfee shut up!" Aries raised her voice, "I just will ok and if you speak another word then I'll stuff one of these graves up where the sun don't shine, alright?"
"Yes Miss." Wolfee grinned sheepishly and carried on scraping off some moss off a grave marker.
Aries gave Wolfee a look which made him flinch a little before carrying on searching.
After another few hours of looking, Zack started to scrable at one of the graves. Aries responded to this by burning the moss from the gravestone.
"This is the one." She gave a slight smile.
"Whats it say?" Wolfee knelt beside her. The grave was like some sort of code with most of the letters unable to read thanks to it being rubbed down with centuries of standing in the lonely forest.
"It's hard to read but...ummm
"Diaru Hidatsa Spirit a muched loved mother and-" blah blah blah..."Died in..." "Will be missed as a protector an-" blah blah blah...

"Eyes like a Lakota,
Beauty as a Cheyenne,
Spirits bow down,
Hidatsa are as pure as the blood,
Which traps those souls,
Lower your stoney and crow,
Drink the blood and release those souls,
Then lift your Apache and howl."

Aries stopped and closed her blue eyes.
"What does it mean?" Wolfee stroked the small winged dog as it gave a soft wine. "Well?"
"It means- It doesn't matter..." Aries lowered her head.
Soft steps padded behind them, Wolfee turned around quickly. "What are you doing here Leo?"
"Looking for Aries, I wanted to talk with her." His eyes studied Aries and then fell upon the grave stone. "Ah..." He sighed, "I see."
"Aries whose grave is this?" Wolfee tapped her shoulder.
"I don't know, its centuries old." Aries sighed.
"Well Diaru is your middlename, isn't it?" Wolfee gave Aries a brief hug.
"Correct." She replied.
"Ah, I understand." Leo had been crouched down, wearing thick rimned glasses disiphering the grave.
"Explain." Wolfee asked.
"Leo I don't mind if you say, not many people would get it anyway." Aries stood up.
"Well Hidatsa means "wolf eyes" meaning that this dead woman was very attached to wolves and the spirits, wolf eyes obviously derived from her middle name because it entered the dictionary around the time of the woman's death. From this, this woman was a very powerful figure with powers to probably contact the spirits judging from the "poem". I can also guess that she was a relative of Aries', I don't particuly understand why the late Diaru was burried here as she most likely came from Western Hallohel judging by the language of the poem and her surname which was given to those who used Tarot Magic in that part of Hallohel." Leo said.
"By the Spirits your good." Aries laughed, "Even i didn't know that and I've never heard of her."
"Add her to the family tree then cause I can assure you that she is most probably one of your ancestors." Leo gave the smallest of a smile which then quickly dissapeered, his haunting eyes then began to read the poem lieing underneath it. "Lakota means a high or powerful wolf...Cheyenne is a young or small and agile wolf, usually a female which means she was quite beautiful."
"Like Aries." Wolfee grinned. Aries recieved this by giving him a dirty look.
Leo carried on, "As I meantioned earlier - Hidatsa means wolf eyes - they were blue, like Aries' eyes."
"I thought they'd be red, as it says "as pure as blood"." Wolfee said.
"Blood is another word for a wolf in water." Aries muttered.
"Most believe that if you drown in water then your soul will be trapped there forever, its said that theres a soul like fire that walks this World that can release those souls. This could also just be a kind of representative meaning that a savior sent by the spirits could save a certian group of people...maybe even a whole town." Leo's eyes looked up to Aries.
She turned away quickly avoiding eye contact, "I think that's enough." She said, her voice almost a whisper.
"Huh, but I don't get it!" Wolfee gave a hmpth and got up.
"Shut up Wolfee!" Both Aries and Leo chorused.

Equinox 004 - Language of the soul

  • Apr. 12th, 2008 at 11:22 AM
cherry, bones, cherries
Having Eve follow Katherine day and night often got on her nerves but it wasn't all that bad, at least now when Katherine got bored she had someone to talk to. Eve was clever and witty and would usually help Katherine with her cooursework, it was a perfect friendship but something very small did bother Katherine. Something that she couldn't quite place her finger on.
As usual Katherine's father was on a business trip and her mother was busy in the kitchen while her sisters were all out at some party and her brother was at a friends. So both Eve and Katherine were talking freely, no need yo worry about anyone walking in and spotting the brown haired girl seemingly talking to herself.
Both were sat down watching a sitcom called "My Family". Eve was laughing quite a lot and kept commenting on how human television programmes were 'interesting'.
"You know." Eve began." It's said that laughter is the language of the soul. But I don't believe that's entirely true."
"Huh?" Katherine looked surprised, Eve always came up with strange topics.
"Maybe laughter comes in as a bonus with the package but if say someone had only half a soul then they migh not laugh as much as someone with a whole one but they would still laugh."
"I don't know what your on about." Katherine sighed and turned back to watching the show. Although it was terribly funny Katherine didn't laugh all that much.
Eve leaned forward, "Maybe laughter is the language of only half of the soul."
Katherine rolled her eyes, "What are you on about souls and stuff? I mean all this talk of souls is really strange, how do we know that souls actuelly do exist?"
"Believe me, they do." Eve smiled.
Eve quickly turned round to meet the gaze of a bat like creature.
"What the hell is that?" Katherine exclaimed.
"This is my little pet." Eve winked and lay her hand out flat so the creature could perch on it. "His name is Hallows."
The bat had haunting eyes so full of melancholy and there were small stitches all over it's body. Katherine shivered, it could be quite cute if it didn't look so...dead.
"Thing is though that this little guy isn't invisible to the mortal eye." Eve ran a finger through the creatures jet black hair.
Katherine was now stood on the sofa opposite Eve and the bat-like creature, it creeped the hell out of her.

It was the following day, a Saturday and James had invited Katherine round his house for a little party.
Once entering the large house Eve whisled, "Blimey this place is big."
"All the better to hold a party in I guess" Katherine giggled, and they walked into the sitting room.
James was laughing in conversation with Steve. James held a smile on his lips while Steve looked emotionless.
Katherine walked home after the party, it wasn't a long walk but the night was cold and dark with soft rain pattering down on them. It would take quarter of an hour to walk back to Katherine's house but sitting at a bus shekter they spotted Steve.
Whats he doing there? Katherine turned the other way and pretended that she hadn't spotted him.
He sat there, wet with rain and green eyes starring out into the darkness, he looked so alone. His slim yet muscular figure looked helpless.
"Shouldn't you go talk to him?" Eve pulled Katherine back. Eve was snacking on some strawberries, she had grown a liking to them since descending to the human World.
"Why should I?" Katherine whispered.
"Cause he looks awfully lonely there, poor thing and he's really handsome."
"Doesn't mean I fancy him! Anyway he's not my problem." Katherine made sure he couldn't hear her.
"Suite yourself." Eve sighed, flicking a strawberry stem into a gutter. "They also say that mercy i-"
"Shut up about the soul!" Katherne sighed and walked in the direction of her home.
The walk took longer than Katherine had expected so she decided to go through short cut, this meant passing into a dirty and dark looking alley, Katherine hesitated befoe walking through it. The stench of the overflowing bins was terrible while shadows seemed to be crawling through the bricks.
Katherine felt a rough hand grip her shoulder and pull her back. She was about to say "what was that for?" to Eve when she realised that Eve was waling right in front of her. And besides, Eve was slender and elegent, she didn't own a large and clumbsy hand.
"Gimme yer money an' I'll let yer go lassy." A gruff sounding man said, his voice low. A few more skinheads gathered round Katherine. Their menacing eyes fixed on her.
"Maybe we cou-" One of them started.
"Nah she ain't pretty enough." Another interupted.
It didn't take more than a second to realise what the second was talking about, what if they didn't let her go and what if they- Katherine wasn' pretty enough but what if they just wanted to do that cause they could.
"Katherine I can't touch them!" Eve sighed, just as worried as Katherine. "To them I'm just a ghost and ghosts can't harm mortals."
Spook them with slying objects then! Katherine's mind screamed.
"This chick ain't gonna talk, eh?" The one holding her laughed and then kicked her hard in the back. Katherine would have fell to the floor if not for the hand clenched around her wrists, squeezing them till they went white.
"Help." She coughed, blood trickling out of one side of her mouth.
"No one here to 'elp yer now." One of them laughed, a cruel laugh.
She heard a gurgheling sound come from behind her and a body slumped to the gruound next to her, it was the one that was holding her. Katherine turned to meet with the green eyes of Steve. He had knocked the skinhead that held her unconcious. He did so to all the others with no effort at all.
"Wow he's darn strong." Eve grinned.
After kicking the last one in the chest, Steve turned around, "You alright?"
"Yeah thanks."
He turned round and walked off. His face emotionless but seriously handsome.
Eve walked back up to Katherine, tongue was liking the juice out of a strawberry and eyes fixed on the unconcious skinheads surrounding them. She looked at them like a Queen would look at a peasent, mockingly.
"As I was saying, they also say that strength is the power of the soul." She laughed.

SOTD 030 - Long Time No See

"Sakamaru, is that you?" Libraya gasped as she flung her arms around him. He must have been the figure standing in the distance and he must have been the one who had put all the villagers right.
"Who else would it be?" He laughed. "Fancy seeing you here huh?"
Leo's eyes narrowed as he watched the two old friends. Picking up his black umbrella, he nodded at Sakamaru and walked off. Sakamaru's dark green eyes followed him, his arms around Libraya. Something troubled him about the subject.
"I-I've missed you." Libraya's voice was as low as a whisper now.
"Same here." Sakamaru pulled back and let his hand pull through his thick black hair.
"Where's Pixie?"
"Oh, a friend is looking after him."
"A wha-?" Libraya was cut off by a quick hug from Reki.

That night they had a huge feast, there was enough to feed an army on the table and Reki had offered to pay for all of it. The soon found out why. She had made a few "winnings" when they had been in the City of Thiebes and the second reason was that Reki ate most of the contents on the table in less than ten minutes.
Zack chewed happily on the scraps of chicken and beef that Wolfee had fed him.
"How could someone so skinny be able to eat all that?" Sakamaru gasped.
"I've been asking that same question for years." Aries laughed.
"Strange that Aries seems to eat nothing and Reki is the reason for World poverty." Wolfee chuckled, fighting off Reki for the last chicken roll.
Before going to bed, Takashi made sure no one was there before cuddleing up to Reki. Giving her breif kisses on the cheek.
"When we get to the Multi continent I wanna see your hometown." She grinned.
"Maybe." He sighed. He lifted an arm around her.
Leo found Sakamaru sitting on the roof of the inn, staring up at the starry sky.
"You looking for something?" He muttered.
"Someone." Sakamaru replied, one finger twirled a couple of strands of hair, "Or two people, well actuelly kinda three and a Pixie. No, I've found one." He saw no piont in lieing to the strange Leo.
Leo lifted an eyebrow, "I did notice you following us earlier on today. And I also noticed that you only found Libraya by accident."
"But I've been looking for her for years."
"What were you looking for?" His expression barely changed.
"I just told you."
Leo gave a brief and subtle laugh.
Leo stopped suddenly as a familiar sounding laugh came from behind him. A chill crawled up his spin. Green eyes widened.
The newcomer threw a back full of gold to Sakamaru.
"Weldone. Your Pixie thing is in the inn, he's quite cute to be honest." The stranger smiled, "Now you can leave."
Sakamaru did so.
After he made sure that Sakamaru was gone for sure, Taphy spoke, "Long time no see."
Leo didn't reply, he shivered slightly before slowly turning around to meet the blue and green stare of his brother.
"How have you been?" Taphy tried again.
"He doesn't know I'm here does he?" Leo's voice was shakey.
"I would never speak to him. Not since- Anyway how have you been?"
Leo took a few steps backwards. "Why are you here?" His eyes wouldn't leave Taphy's figure.
"Younger brother, I just want to say hello."
"We ARE NOT brothers! I will never let myself be associated with YOU!" He gritted his teeth.
"Ok, I'll see you another time then." A sigh drew from his lips.
And before Leo blinked, his elder half-brother was gone. He stayed on the roof for most of that night, shivering with fear. Eyes wide open, head buried in his knees. Memories flooded his mind like unwanted sewage dripping into his face from the depths of hell.
"When will these Nightmares leave me." He mouthed, looking up at the moon, umbrella by his side. "I said just LEAVE ME!"

SOTD 029 - It screams

The villagers were no swarming around the three of them. Leo pulled out a large and tatty looking umbrella with many blood stains around it. He opened it up and the now attacking villagers were unable to get past it. Eyes closed as a wall of flames seemed to engulf the three of them. The possessed villagers were unable to get through the wall of whie and black flams dancing around Wolfee, Libraya and Leo.
Wow, he's strong. Libraya thought watching his green eyes flicker closed.
"What are we gonna do?" Wolfee asked. "We can't just kill the villagewrs, they've done nothing wrong and we can't wait here for them to go away or Leo will get tired."
"Don't worry." Leo breathed. "I can do this for another 24 hours if I have to."
"Maybe Reki or Takashi will come and help." Libraya said.
"I told them to stay with Aries, safety in numbers, remember?" Leo's face was barely even concentrating on keeping the wall strong.

Sakamaru watched as the subject created some sort of fiery wall. Atleast the subject wouldn't be killed anytime soon, that left Sakamaru to sort out the figure in the church. The possesed locals seemed to be too fasinated by the flames than Sakamaru. His green coat flared up as he ran through the church to the spiral staircase. It was a tiresome run up the many steps to the bell room.
A girl was sitting on top of the only bell. A man was pulling the rope, he didn't seem to notice the girl nor did he notice Sakamaru. The strange girl had piercing blue eyes that looked like they should belong to a wolf and brown/red hair which was messy.
"Who are you?" Aries called. Her head hurt, she could sense the evil surrounding the man pulling the ropes, in her home town they had often said that she had a third eye which could find truth. Or maybe it was just because like wolves, she could tell good men from the evil men.
"I'm here to save your friends." Sakamaru pionted to the trio who were still ingulfed by the flames.
The man still didn't notice, he seeme like a ghost, a dog collar hung across his bleeding neck. A priest.
The cold blade of a knife was felt across Sakamaru's throat. It was lifted quickly after he refused to struggle. Reki laughed a little and gave a grin.
"Leave him, he's good." Aries dropped down from the bell.
The black haired man turned around, Reki wasn't there, she was fast.
"Why would you bother helping us?" Aries asked, eyes narrowed.
"I know the girl with purple hair."
"What's her name?"
"Libraya." Sakamaru replied. A sudden jolt went through hhis heart, oh how he missed Libraya. But he couldn't let childhood feelings get in the way of his work, he had found Leo, now to lead them to Taphy.
Reki grinned as she jumped in front of the newcomer, "You know Libi-chan? Well I'm Reki and thats Aries."
"Reki, I think we need to un-possess those locals instead of introducing ourselves." Aries sighed, "Where did Takashi go?"
"To look at the vectry." She replied.
Aries muttered a few words and the ghostly priest screamed, his tone so deafening that Aries winced in pain. After yestarday any loud noice for Aries was unbareble, certian sounds had always made Aries cringe a lot more then other people, thats why she always covered her ears but after yestarday's incedent it had become much worse.
After a few more seconds of the high pitched cry, a flash onume the priest and he was no longer in sight.
A cry left Aries' lips as the priest's spirit left the World and she dropped to the floor gasping for breath. A card fell from her hand and Reki, careful not to touch it studied the card.
"The Devil." She breathed.
"It means he was a restless spirit. He must have made a deal with a demon and turned from the spirits to the devil." Aries got up. "Basically the priest's ghost was the reason that the locals had turned...strange."
Sakamaru watched as the villagers were regained to thier orinary states.
"Their normal again." A sigh of relief left his lips.

Sakamaru was invited to stay with the party and he accepted, delighted to be reunited with Libraya. What luck it had been, to find the subject and his childhood heart-throbe on the very same day.
"It was you that saved us?" Libraya smiled.
"Uummm, well it was me, Aries and Reki really." He grinned cuddleing up to Libraya. Letting her long hair strock his cheek.
Lucky me. His lips curled into a warm smile.
